LOL......Honey...there are a lot of you telecom types out there. Personally I would go to the air force. Wait for the opening especially in the army. If you have your degree go to OTS. Threatening them will only make them laugh. You will soon learn that what telecom training you have is like something you read on the bathroom wall. Its a very large field. You also need to be able to get at least a TS and many jobs require even higher clearances. You will still have to go through their training, you need to learn their ways. Best of luck and learn a little patience there.

Nothing when you consider that I'm dressed in those skinny rayon print pants with a T-blouse that I put on as pj's & front room put on for in-among climate. I like them, however lamentably, they do not have any wallet. When I went external to learn the Sunday paper, I tossed on a sunhat & a free-becoming oversize jean jacket with Kleenex & keys filled within the wallet. Never ever step external with out the keys.

Then tell them what jobs you will accept. The choice to sign the contract is yours. If the schools are all filled - you will just have to wait for an opening.

With the Army the way my husband explained it when he was going through it... you pick what you want to do... then they tell you what is open...
My cousin walked out on the army because they didn't give the job she wanted... and they never called her back... didn't seem like they care much...

it doesn't matter. If you are job locked, be prepared to either wait a long time if there is no need for that job right away, or be prepared to be shown the door. You of course have the right to choose what you want to be doing for the next x number of years, but the military also has the right to say, thanks, but no thanks, we don't need you that badly.
have you spoken to your recruiter about the chances of actually getting what you want in your contract? if you show up and blindside them with demands, they will be less willing to give you a break.

Read your contract. The key phrase will be "The good of the service". Once you sign on the dotted line, they can do with yiou what they want.

It's obvious you're not in the military yet. They'll promise you what you want, then you'll do what they say, or else.
