In an orchard, a barn/farm, the beach, on a boat (you can rent 'cruise' ships for the day, in many places), at a lake......anywhere, really. It's all up to personal preference.

My friends met wakeboarding at the lake and for there wedding they invited all there family and friends to the lake for a engagement dinner, instead they had us all follow them in rented pontoon boats to the place they met and got married right there on the water. It was fun, casual, and everyone was really excited! I also think the cost of the wedding was next to nothing, but it was so fun and done in such a way we didn't notice! Where did you meet? What are some shared hobbies of yours? Don't be scared to mix those into your wedding or vows. Just do what makes you and your soon to be husband happy, remember this is your guys day!!! Good luck, and have a great wedding!

We got married at a park overlooking the ocean, and it was beautiful. I looked into doing it on a day cruise ship, too, that is also different. I don't know where you live, but I always thought a castle would be neat. Or in the mountains, or on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Or you could do a destination wedding anywhere, like Jamaica, Figi, Europe...etc. Good luck!

A musuem or the zoo would be interesting. Why don't you both sit down and make lists of some of your favorite places. You'd be surprised at how many venues you will have to choose from.

Good luck!

My husband and I got married at Japanese Tea Garden. It was very intimate and different.
