Dellow, I am not impressed. God is not a figment of my imagination.

yourbeautiful, I am talking about the salvation from sin & death (everlasting life). Eternal salvation is a free gift received from God. Not the working out salvation every day through ever day trials of faith & obedience or difficulties.

Sure do!! Works will be the results of salvation but it cannot get you to Heaven. James 2 : 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

James 2 : 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

So you show your faith by the works you do but are not saved by them. That is a gift of God that we cannot earn or only the rich would be in Heaven and the poor would be outside. The sacrifice was the death of Christ on the cross for the remission of sin. We have life through Jesus.
