If what they say here was to come true, that the illegals would start a war to take back the land we once won from mexico. How many would fight for the right to keep it and why would you fight? I would defiently fight front lines for my country would you?

Militarily they can not take it back. The only way for that to happen is for the UN to hate America so much and for Mexico to plea a case to the UN and a resolution is passed declaring much of California, all of Arizona and New Mexico as part of the Mexican country. And for an ultra liberal pacifivist American government to accept the terms....without the military backing of the US government the people would be hosed - but there would be fighting. We'd be the palestinians of today in the US. I don't see that scenerio ever happening. But I'd still quit the UN now.

Then you better start fighting because they're war is not with guns but political. The democratic party wants the illegals to have voting rights and that is how they will wage this "war". Have you not seen Senators refusing to make English this nations language? In a part of Florida the English language was voted out. Better start waging your war by letting Political leaders know they are about to lose their jobs if they don't start voting the way legal Americans want and stop being politically correct.

If they were to start a war to "win back" the western U.S. wouldn't their logic on starting the war be identical to the reason the lost the land to start with?
What would happen then? The U.S. would want the land back and go back to war. Then Mexico would want the land back, etc...
Before there was a fully defined government in either country the war was fought to settle the difference. Now, too much would be lost by both sides in a war.

hehe, that would be great. You want to see a government that doesn't work, let Mexico reclaim Pheonix, NewMexico and half of California and Texas and see how long it takes for those state's economies collapse. ;-)
We can win a war with Mexico without firing a single shot. The mexican army gets bought out by drug runners all the time. Since the mexican army acts more like mercenaries, we could just pay them to not attack :-)
Would I fight? I support the government and the military by being a citizen. If a draft were to be enacted, I would proudly serve.

The problem is that an out-and-out war with Mexico would have Mexico lose big time.
Aside from the military superiority, there would be people joining up to fight on the border witht heir own weapons.
I just would like to know where you heard this rather disturbing tale. It comes off as very inflammatory.

Why would they start a war to reclaim the land when they are all coming here to live under our government and to enjoy all the freedoms and democracy that our country has to offer. If they took back the land then their government would be in control and it would be no different than what they are trying to leave their country and enter ours illegally for now!

I don't think they would be naive enough to start a war, nor would Mexico support a war. Just look at what happened with Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Most illegal immigrants just want to live private lives and make enough money to live and support family members back in Mexico or wherever their country of origin is.

They are not stupid enough to start a war...
Because, they would then own it...(If we were actually to give it to them, and the way our Government is, who knows what simple things they are capable of), and then they would just own "nothing"!!
People would not have anymore "money" then they had, because unless you "do" something with the land, its worthless! Industry is what is important. Mexico has a lot of oils wells, and not utilizing them, they let thier people come here to work and then have them send thier monies back home to spend. (This makes Mexico richer as they can sell us our money back to us at a profit..."no, I dont know how they do it, but it gets done").
So, they will not make war with us, as they want to keep jobs that we Americans give them, and if they would make war, then our borders would be permenantly cut off from Mexico, and they would starve a lot of people...

i wouldn't now who to fight for in one hand this is my country i was born and raised here but in another hand my parents and my family was born in Mexico and that's my culture right there so that will be a tough one i guess neither ill be trying to stop it
