Specifically there is an alkaloid that is a close kin to coca and interacts with the endorphins in your brain. its why chocolate is "love candy". In dogs the reacting endorphin had a much different effect. and may cause symptoms very like encephalitis

I was just reading on this yesterday it has something in it cant remember the name can cause heart problems seizers milk chocolate isn't as bad as baking chocolate it has higher amount of this stuff it can kill them never feed any animal choclate
