Can I use dry onion dip mix in place of dry onion soup mix in a crock pot recipe?

it wouldnt hurt a thing...the dip mix is a little saltier but just keep that in mind when preparing your crock dish...i often have used it for roast preparation as a rub...or an addition to mixed veggis as a flavor enhancer...cooking is all about experementation...take a chance...
