Happens all the time. Uninstall it and go back and reinstall it. You can uninstall it from Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel. Then go to the website and redownload it. You will have to reinstall some of your plugins when you revisit websites. No big deal though. Java usually gets corrupted because the "driver" I guess you would call it re-writes itself everytime a java program calls for a new IDE. So it is easily corruptible.
