They use human shields intentionally as a propaganda tool. Their hope is for Israel to kill lots of civilians to turn world opinion away from Israel.
They also, as all terrorists do, specifically target civilians to spread terror. Simply put they are evil.

Justification of an act of killing civilians and non-combatants by a nation state because their are terrorists in their midst is not acceptable no matter how much you attempt to trade off the deaths.
If this was the case, the UK would have had every justification in nuking Northern Ireland and Eire because some of its community, usually against its general wishes, harboured IRA and other terrorist organisations from both religious sides. What would have been the logic of that? Unfortunately, this is the logic that Israel has been using to justify its wholesale slaughter of civilians and children with little remorse or self-control.

If Hezbollah had the power, it would kill every Jewish man woman and child - while the entire muslim world sat back and cheered them on.
Hezbollah is a group of terrorists. Add to that - they are Arabs who hate Jews.
Hezbollah fires rockets blindly into Israel not caring who they hit, just so long as they hit someone.

I believe when they killed 2 Palestinian children early on they did apologize and call the children martyrs. Small comforts. As for Israeli kids, I've not heard a word about them apologizing for that.

Look at death toll numbers on both sides please. All killings (both israeli and islamic) are unjustified, but every reliable newscast I have heard (NPR or other non fox news sources ) have shown me a striking difference in death toll. I understand you are fearful because new questions about our alliances with Israel are arising. Change is hard, but a critical change IS occuring as people begin to see Israels veil grow thin. Be at peace with this critical questioning time.

It's not in there belief system to apologize. Islam is predominately a male-centered religion (as evidence of the female status in their society); hence, the backward and base, male arrogance displays itself in true form and color.
To be fair to other Muslims and who are my personal friends, my description does not apply to all the other faithfuls.
