The way I like best is to cook it on the grill. You carefully peel back the husks so you can remove as much of the little hairs as possible. Then, replace the husk tightly around the corn and soak it for about an hour. You then shake out the excess water and put them on the grill for about twenty minutes. Let them cool slightly and take the husk off and your ready to go (butter, salt, or even a little mexican cheese is nice).

Milk Boiled Sweet Corn on the Cob!
This is the only way I make corn on the cob! You will never boil corn in just water again, once you try this! This method produces a very tender and sweet corn on the cob, I promise!
6-8 ears corn, husks and silk removed
1 1/4 cups milk
3 teaspoons salt (or to taste)
3-4 tablespoons sugar
1/4 cup butter (you can use up to 1/2 cup butter)
6-8 servings
1. Fill a large stock pot (about an 8-quart) half full with water.
2. Add in the milk, salt, sugar and butter.
3. Bring to a boil, then add in the corn cobs.
4. Reduce heat to a simmer, and allow corn to cook for 8-12 minutes, or until tender, depending on size of corn (try not to over cook the corn as it will become tough!)

Cream Corn
Take the Sweet corn and cut it off the cob making sure you scrape the cob to get all the sweet milk that comes from the cob. To a pan add 2-Tablespoons (per 4 cobs) of bacon drippings (you can use regular oil bacon just adds the flavor) Salt and pepper to taste and a shake or two of garlic (optional) add 1 cup of heavy cream (milk can be replaced) and bring to a boil. You will then want to simmer it for about 20 minutes stirring often. If it this seems to runny then take some corn starch and water and mix in a separate dish then spoon a little cornstarch mixture in to thicken.

Get a big stock pot and fill 3/4 full of hot water. Add salt bring to a boil. Put the shucked ears of corn in the boiling water and after the water comes back to a boil, turn heat to medium and cook 7 minutes. Remove from water with tongs. Add butter and eat!

I like it cut dirrectly off the ear and boiled for maybe 5 miutes in water with a table-spoon or two of butter. After draining, I like to add a pinch of salt and little more butter. Makes it more fatning, but it is so good! I love fresh sweet corn!

If fresh corn on the cob, do not put salt in the water - the kernels will go tough. Drop into boiling water for 10 minutes.

I microwave frozen or tinned sweet corn - without adding water. It takes about 1.5 mins for tinned and 2.5 frozen for two generous portions.
Corn on the cob I boil or barbecue.
And whatever I do, I always chuck loads of butter on at the end.

on the cob, add it to pan of UNSALTED boiling water for 8 -10 mins, off the cob, for no more than 2 mins . salt after cooking only as salted water leaves the corn tough

If it on the cob put it in salted boiling water for 10 minutes and then put lashings of butter on it when taken out or you can BBQ it but if its not on the cob just heat it up in a saucepan for 3 Min's or microwave for 45 seconds.
