Ladies............ do you still wear a shower cap?

In the 60's 70's and 80's it was common for women to wear shower caps regularly to keep their hair from getting wet.

Women commonly sore shower caps to cover their hair because of the hairstyles. Back then, if you went to the salon and got your hair done, you didn't wash it for a week. You only took the necessary precautions not to mess it up. Now, the hairstyles a very much more relaxed. Some hair still requires covering though. There are some black people who cover their hair in the shower, pool, rain, etc. The way they have it done could be ruined in the water. Also, some white people that have very curly hair like to have it straightened. With as much hair as I have, I do not have time to straighten it all out every day. So, when I have it straightened, I take a bath instead of a shower, so as to not get my air wet. But, women in general no longer wear shower caps on a regular basis.

The only time I wear a shower cap is if I want to take a shower but not get my hair wet. But I never wear it if I'm going swimming.

I never have worn a shower cap and I'm not aware of anyone else doing that either. Isn't one of the main reasons we shower to wash our hair?

i just wrap a towel around my hair if i don't want ot get it wet in the shower..

yes, i'm black, and i don't wash my hair all the time because it would be horrible to do that!! and i wear a shower cap.

Yes my hair has a relaxer in it and I roll up my hair nightly.
