Nothing irritates me more, than people who can't spell, and substitute numbers for words. You're butchering your own language.

It's not cute, or innovative. If you can't properly express yourself without obviously misspelling things to be trendy, then why bother....

Absolutely! Lost and gone forever, it seems. What is really irritating is that people won't even bother to use the spell check, when it's so conveniently placed! And let's not even discuss grammar. That is so far out of the picture as to be almost unrecognizable.

Ys. I know wat u mean 2. I can't stnd people who do that.

Just kidding. Seriously...I have a son who will text message me using abbreviations and or numbers for example he'll use.

(what 4?) or (me 2). I've gotten on to him about doing this, so he's getting better.

We live in a weird time where things like that are just acceptable. Quite frankly even penmanship has gone out the door too. Very sad. I'm with you on this one.

It never ceases to amaze me that in other more phonetically simple languages such as Spanish, there are still people who can't spell.

I agree, although bad grammar is a close second on the irritation scale.
