this person will never meet anyone that is looking for a intimate relationship because he is very different... thats what frightens people off. He worries me sometimes because he gets so down.

I am different kettle of fish also. I have accepted that Im different. I am not like most guys and I am convinced that there are not many girls that would go out with someone like me.

It did bother me in my younger days... mostly when I was at University and finding out that everyone sooner or later is dating... exept me.

To end this... tell you 'different' friend not to look for love. Tell him to chill out of this 'I need a realaionship' rubbish. Tell him to enjoy things that he does doing, and let love come to him.

This is what I am doing. Good things come to those who wait....

All the best

Would counselling help? It sounds like this person may suffer from depression. It is very difficult to drag oneself out of it without some help either from a GP prescribing Anti depressants or a trained counsellor. I hope that you can help your friend to get the help he needs.

Maybe he's been hurt before and he has not been able to shake the feeling of it if you are his friend try taking him out yourself and get him back into the world. It could be that he's just afraid of rejection. Or maybe he's just shy.

Firstly. Negativity is catching.

Secondly. Never say never.

Life is the biggest and scariest journey we all take, because we don't know what's ahead. That goes for everyone.

There is no such thing as being different there is only such a thing as being yourself and afraid to be yourself. He will find someone you need to encourage him that he will find someone and not be lonely.
