I was once told that I was attractive, but that I was too smart. Are there really a lot of guys out there who don't like intelligent women?

it takes a special breed of man to be with a woman with superior intelligence and a vast majority feel threatened by a smart woman especially if she is attractive but never dumb you're self down you know the saying behind every successful man is an intelligent woman smart guys know that smart women are an asset

I think a lot of guys feel 'threatened' if their girl is smarter. i guess its all part of male dominance or something.
Being a guy myself I couldnt care. I class myself a faily smart guy, and I woudnt mind a girl thats on the same wave-length I suppose.
I certainly wouldnt go for a dumb girl... their just stupid and come out with random questions and answers (seriously).
To end this... I would rather be seeing a really smart girl than a really dumb girl. (Although a really smart girl may find me really dumb and will want a really smart guy) lol

There are yes and they are usually chauvanistic too. I was married for a long time and he wouldnt pay for courses for me cuz he said I would leave him. That is too selfish to believe. We split up but I have a very ordinary job. Nothing fancy while he is high off the hog. I married a much more interesting man...

being smart doesnt matter to most but if you were very studius or not sexual, then the guy wouldn't have fun, if you were smart and would flirt, it wouldn't be a problem, whoever told you that probably likes girls that flirt (but i prefer modest quiet girls)
