just wear your normal leisure clothes and learn to curse more.

Also try not to bring attention to yourself by mentioning the private school much.

I did the same thing, when I was 14 I transfered to Public School from a catholic school, I attended St. Joseph's, All Saints, and Loyola HS.

I found that the people where a lot nicer at the public school, but at the same time I was 3 years ahead of my fellow students. I found myself bored out of my mind.

You may be able to take the advantage of having a private education to get really good grades really easy and get yourself a scholorship.

Pretty much if you want to know what people are wearing, go to a walmart near your new school and hang out there, watch what others your age are buying, then buy a few things. THAT way you will fit in when you get there. Unfortunately a huge part of fitting in at school is clothing. Do research on your new freinds.

Umm, okay, I've been there before so here's the thing. Skinny jeans are in now, along with layering and tights. Wear polos and jeans, skirts are okay but not too short. Don't tell everyone that you used to go to a catholic school, they'll think you're a snob. Very light makeup. Hair in a ponytail, pigtail, side-loop, or down. Whatever you want but not too much. Look up seventeen magazine, cosmogirl, or teenvogue for more. Hope that was helpful enough.

First of all, academically you'll probably be way ahead many of your new public school friends because you were in an extremely contained, disciplined environment; Don't lose the discipline! With all your new freedom, you'll tend to go wild and if you let yourself you'll start to fail...miserably; just buy some nice jeans, maybe a skirt or 2, cute blouses, nice t-shirts-not freaky....try to make friends with many groups: jocks, cheerleaders, techo geeks, musicians, etc. so you can hang with many different people instead of a select few; above all...be nice...and ignore some of the "wacko's" that you're sure to encounter; get a new haircut and have your nails polished! Have fun!

for a really fun start at public school
Wear the catholic school uniform and explain that you had a really sheltered life ...
the other girls will all take you in hand to help you choose the BEST outfits to buy.
Be sure to look carefully at what other kids are wearing, and ask where the got their stuff.

plan b ) if you are less self assured, Just go with a nice t-shirt and jeans.

shop at the LIMITED TOO. they have the best and most stylish clothes for a girl your age.
remember: you need a couple pairs of great jeans. two skirts one long one short(not too short) a crisp white shirt that you can dress up or down or layer over a colorful tank. capris are also a big hit bacause you cab dress them up and down. as far as makeup goes. wear neutral colors that compliment your skin tone, and lip gloss is always better than lip stick. stay away from bright reds, dark browns or black, and orange. wear shoes that are comfortable to walk to classes in. A MUST check out Seventeen magazine. they helped me out alot in middle school and high school. oh and don't be afraid of a little color. jeans and a nice colorful tank or shirt is always a hit. Good Luck!!

Just wear what you feel comfortable in. But mostly like jeans, and tees, and basically just the stuff that you'll find in the mall as long as it's not breaking dress code. But don't just try to find what everyone else is wearing, wear what YOU like. People don't think too highly of others that just try to look like everyone else (the people that matter anyway). And as for makeup and hair, most 7th graders don't need alot of makeup. Just wear a light color of eyeshadow, brown eyeliner (very light) and brown mascara, and a little lipgloss. And for hair, just look up some stuff on google to get some ideas, but until then, wear your hair the way you like it. Hope I helped!

well i'm your age and i don't go to a public school but i used 2 i would wear a cute graphic tee shirt and a pair of jean capris with some nice shoes white K-Swiss sneakers. i would ear my hair in a pony tail or just strait down. I personally don't wear make up but some people wear eyeliner eye shdow blush and lipstick and accessorie i'd wear would be a cute little charm bracelet - my advice would be just to wear the classic graphic tee with jeans and some K-Swiss or schetchers sneakers until you get the style in your school

Discipline will be looser. Dress casual-neat. Backpack. There will be cliques - people who are snobbish. Be friendly and go up to people, and keep doing it even if some are a disappointment, and you will have a good experience.
Many boys are shy at that age: they know nothing about girls, but would die before admitting it. Say no and mean no. When you find one you like, help him talk to you, the nice one's are quiet, the jerks find you.
Listen actively, speak less than you talk at first, or maybe always. Let people know that you heard what they said by repeating it in your words.
This will put you way ahead.
Ask for help when you need it, everyone needs help sometimes, even Avril.
Enjoy yourself!!!!

I'm sure you will do great in your new school. Public school's don't wear uniforms, so you will need new school clothes. Why not go to the Gap, Old Navy, Abercrombie & Fitch, Aeropostale, American Eagle, Eddie Bauer, and Hollister to check out the current fashions. Just window shop for ideas.

Then you can decide what to wear and go shopping.

As for your hair and make up, just be your natural self.

Look around you in your home town and notice how the girls your age dress. Pay attention to that, and let that guide you for school. Ask around. Public school is less structured than Catholic school, and is not religion based. Public school is fun, don't worry about it. You'll learn a lot of new ideas.
