Where is he again?
How long will he be there?
If not for long,if you have the money,a little box of Dollar bill's in it or some flower's.
Not sure what's going on with him right.
I did that for my father one time when he turned 80,he was also sick at the time, but it was like the quarter dollar thing's they have and he loved it alot.
Other then that for now just give him your love with kiss and say I love you dad.
I sure some one else will come up with a better answer,ok.
Take care.
My love go's out to you.
God be with you both always.
Sharon.

Well if you dad is sick and you really can't take things to him in the hospital I think that the best gift would be your love and support and you caring for him. make sure he knows how you feel and make an effort to go see him as much as you can. My dad is 64 and was recently in ICU becauce he has Arythmia of the heart. My dad loves CNN, Discovery Channel, Reading books and newspapers.........so me, my husband and my brothers would take him a newspaper everyday or a book for him to read........

A tie, wallet, musical card, a portriat of the family, socks,a watch, if he drives some gas, pay for his lawn to be taken care of. In other words the same gifts that you would give a 30 year old man.

Make him some kind of collage,
Much like a scrapbook,
pictures of the familly, little scraps of stuff that he can remember things by.
I think he'd appreciate your time and care and for when you're not there something to keep him busy like a puzzle book (Sudoku is pretty interesting)

how about one of those picture frames with multiple windows for pictures, you can fill it with snapshots of the two of you or the rest of your family, and then he can have it in his hospital room --i bet that would make him very happy, and it would stay with you when he is gone (i did something like that for my grandma before she died and i still have it!)

At this stage of life, he probably has everything he needs, but the nicest thing thing you can do is ask him what can you get him.
