raw fish and raw beef are things you should not eat. Certain kinds of fish that may have high mercury levels. Also I think canned tuna has high mercury. You should not have too much caffiene although one or two cups of coffee, tea or coke shouldn't hurt anything

i so hate this part of pregnancy. okay..here goes....
no aspirin, stick to tylenol for a pain reliever.
no raw fish (i heard if you can find a sushi place that freezes the fish prior to serving it kills the parasites, obviously still no tuna)
no rare meats, they must be cooked throughly. (and i love a bloody steak:( )
no tuna beacause of the mercury
no raw oysters ( i love those!!)
no more than 8oz of shellfish a week.
no lunch meats with nitrates. (they do have some lunchmeats without nitrates)
no sausages, no hot dogs, no brisket, bacon, and peperoni.
no more than 2 cups of coffee a day.
stay away from broccoli only because of the awful gas it gives you.
non pastuarized cheese, basically any soft cheeses ( i just found out i loved brie)
keep chocolate to a minimum ( i never listened to that part)
no msg, make sure all chinese places say NO MSG in the window.
most soup broths have high msg, so keep away from chicken or beef boullion (those powdered broth cubes or powder)
all salt substitutes, including Accent.
All sugar substitutes, including nutra-sweet.
do not do any oven cleaning or have anyone do it while you are in the house.
Don't touch any cat feces or change the kitty litter.
No spraying of insect repellant.
i know this isn't all, but it was all i could think of at the moment. With all the restrictions, i'm surprised we get to eat at all! they should just give us bed rest and stick us with an IV!

This all sounds like crap! No alcohol, smoking, or drugs. All of the other things are okay in small doses (My doctor even told me that a glass of red wine with dinner was okay every once in a while) All of these others are myths. There is mercury in tuna and other fish so you should limit that to small doses. If you are concerned about specific foods you should have your wife/girlfriend talk with her doctor.

it relies upon fairly on how their physique digests nutrients. i used to be a huge guy yet I never ate over 1000 energy an afternoon which brought about me to be drained and inactive for all time so my metabolism infrequently digested what I ate. whilst i began eating extra desirable nutrients i in my opinion began to shed some pounds. a good style of those super women pay attention to the rubbish the media throws obtainable as 'fact' approximately diets. issues like low fat and coffee carb are worse on your physique then a huge mac from mcdonalds yet human beings make money off of the widespread public's incorrect information and those suffering over weight all and sundry is the casualties of our lack of understanding.

Be very careful with all meats- make sure they are thoroughly cooked.
Make sure to drink lots of water and eat lots of vegetables and fruits for those natural vitamins that prenatal vitamins cant supply you with.

It is amazing that any one of us even made it here. A hundred years ago they did not have the medical technology we do today and somehow we are all alive and well. I think that the medical profession is taking all of this to extremes.
Foods to Avoid During Pregnancy
A list of foods that you don't want to eat when you're pregnant.
What Not to Eat
Don't eat:
Raw meat such as sushi, seafood, or rare/undercooked beef or poultry, because of the risk of contamination with coliform bacteria, toxoplasmosis, and salmonella.
Raw eggs, or foods containing raw egg, such as Caesar dressing, mayonnaise, homemade ice cream or custard, unpasteurized eggnog, or Hollandaise sauce, because raw eggs may be contaminated with salmonella.
Soft cheese such as blue cheese, feta, Brie, Camembert, and Latin-American soft white cheeses such as queso blanco and queso fresco, because they may harbor harmful bacteria. If these cheeses are pasteurized however they should be safe to consume.
Fish containing accumulated levels of mercury in their fatty tissues such as shark, swordfish, king mackerel, and tilefish. When a pregnant woman consumes large amounts of mercury, her baby may suffer brain damage resulting in developmental delays (for example, delays in learning to walk or talk).
Fish containing high levels of an industrial pollutant called polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in their fatty tissues such as bluefish and striped bass, and freshwater fish such as salmon, pike, trout, and walleye from contaminated lakes and rivers. According to the March of Dimes, consumption of large amounts of PCBs by pregnant women is linked to decreased attention, memory, and IQ in their babies. Check with your local Health Department to determine which fish in your area are safe to eat.
Deli and Processed Sandwich Meats – these meats might be contaminated with Listeria, a potentially deadly bacteria that can result in miscarriage or even a stillbirth. While listeria is relatively harmless to most ordinary people, it can be life threatening for your unborn baby. Pregnant women are more susceptible to listeria because of their lowered immune system. If you want to eat deli meats, be sure that you cook them until they are steaming hot, which will help kill any bacteria that might be present.
Unpasteurized milk or juices – remember that any type of milk product or juice that has not been pasteurized has the potential to carry Listeria and other bacteria that may be harmful for you and your baby during pregnancy.
Limit caffeine to no more than 300 mg. per day (two 5-ounce cups of coffee, three 5-ounce cups of tea or two 12-ounce glasses of caffeinated soda). Remember, chocolate contains caffeine -- the amount of caffeine in a chocolate bar is equal to 1/4 cup of coffee.
The use of saccharin is strongly discouraged during pregnancy. FDA-approved sweeteners include aspartame.
