I think everybody has a right to an opinion, and nobody has the right to force their opinion on someone else. It has nothing to do with fact.

When you ask a question on here, its usually a question for help.
So, people give you thier opinions, based on thier "experience" and what worked and didnt work for them.
It doesnt mean that two people cant have a differing of opinions, as they have come to the solution at different angles, so its up to those who take the opinions and solutions and do with them as they have a want or need to do.
Just because you "get advice", doesnt mean that you have to 'use' that advice. Also, others may have had good or bad experiences with a product and will give you the pitfalls or dangers to look out for, so that you dont make the same mistakes.
When doing research, then you look for "facts", when doing a project and you need help, then you look for "experience" so that you can gain knowledge, with out having to go down the rocky road or the school of hard knocks and learn the dangers and pitfalls yourself.
I wish you well..

You are right on what you said about oppinions. Basically everybody has his/her own oppinions and they always think their's the best and are the facts. The fact is, where did they get the facts from and are the answers given were based on solid and well researched facts? Proved? Well, if I were to say that MonaLisa is not a piece of art, but many people do, who came up with the fact that it is art? I would also like to say that my baby pics are all pieces of art. Who clarify these facts? We do. So friend, here's the difference. Oppinions can be as many as the world fact sheets do, they need clarification and announciation from someone who declare that item as a fact. So who will have the authority to declare it? We humans do. That's the whole idea of having the human rights movements. Bottom line, dont fight for facts based on our own oppinions if they are not true or not solid. Theorised or not; solid or not, all these are done in the name of research and not a one-day answer. To test whether your own oppinions are factual or mere fiction, go search and research it yourself. And for mine, Monalisa is still a debatable question whether it stands as a piece of art to many.

Not everyone is ever going to realize this. I like blue. That's my opinion on the best color. There are people who just like to argue, even on such a trivial thing as color. No it does not make anything a fact, just because I said so. I do think by human nature we believe we are correct and want to be right. Doesn't make it so. As an added thought, Don't you find it amazing how many people never answer your questions. They just give their opinions.

Everyone has a right to their own opinion. But I think a lot of people want to believe that everything comes down to opinions, and I disagree with this.
Some things really are black and white. Some things really are right and wrong, regardless of whether or not everyone agrees.
And that is my opinion! (Which I happen to be right about, LOL!)

A good part of the problem is that some people like to dismiss actual facts as just opinions in order to avoid facing them.

That would depend on whether my opinion is based on fact or more opinion. If someone disagrees with an opinion based on fact, they are still wrong. Period.
Other than that, yes, opinions are only opinions.

I know that I don't think mine are fact all the time. I know that I always make my opinions based on research and I don't just assume anything. I like to make sure I have all sides before I make up my mind. and you are right....everyone does have the right to an opinion, what gets me mad are those people who talk without know what they are talking about and forming an opinion without doing the reasearch to back it up. They just talk and thats it.

Here's the deal. I can accept opinions as opinions, but what I cannot accept is when people spout off "facts" that support their opinion when these "facts" are not proven, but are mere speculation. And in some cases the speculation is waaaaaay out there!

I think your opinion is stupid.... but then again..... so is mine!
Unfortunately, you are correct. People do view their opinions as fact. Since we agree on this, I propose we officially proclaim all of our opinions as fact and everybody else is wrong.

Probably never. Too many people take it personally when you disagree with their opinions.
