Ugh, I wondered the same thing for a long time. After trying Winamp, WMP, iTunes and MusicMatch I can say without a doubt that QMP is easily the best one I've played with. Definitely give it a shot.

ituens, window media player, real player, etc. all of these can be obtained free. just go to their website. Type the name given above into google if you dont know their website addresses. good luck
