Your dog is just being teeritorial. My old dog did that alot we yelled at him (like No!Scr uffy thats not good! Bad puppy!!) And if that didnt work cry. Dogs feel guilty if you cry and tell them they are bad. I feel bad doing it but they need disipline. I love my dogs to death but when they are bad I let them know. Make sure he doesnt have a blatter problem. Id try and taking him to the vet if this continues.

how old is your dog? if he's still under 12 months you have to be more patient. dogs also reach their maturity, also if your dog is male it is natural for them to do that because they are marking their territory. when you leave the house get him a cage so you can put him there while you're gone. you can also teach him where you want him to pee but that task is going take a lot of effort and patience. i can completely understand your dilemma because my dog was once like that. and you know what else if it's possible to take him wherever you go take him with you, you're going to enjoy it both.

How old is your dog? if hes still a puppy you have to show him its wrong. and if your ther when he pees say NO and take him out side. You cant let him be the boss. And you can get him a cage for when your gone, thats what some of my friends do. when you get home let him outside first thing

When you go out, come back after a few minutes and see if he's weed. Gradually do this until you know at what point he does it, then take him out before the usual time elapses. If he wees when he's out, take him to the vet because it might be a physical thing, if not he's doing it for attention and out of insecurity and you need work out a way of making him feel more secure, like leaving the TV or radio on when you go out.

if he's not fixed yet, get him fixed. my dog peed on everything before he was fixed. it's a territorial thing i think. the only other thing i can think of is to crate him when you're gone. a dog won't mess up "his" area. some people think crating a dog is mean, but it actually gives them a sense of security. it's his place where he can feel cozy and safe. after a while you'll probably notice him using it when he doesn't have to.

Get a crate and put his little butt into it...it keeps him safe, and keeps your house pee free...I have come up with a saying for my husband (our Great Dane puppy pooped in the house once)...I told my husband to think of it this way...close all the doors (especially the bathroom)...tie your hands behind your back and wait until you have to go to the bathroom, by the way, no one is allowed to open any doors for you...Get the point?

Needless to say, he quit scolding the puppy.

Please leave your dogs or dog outside. Tie them up. Also if You must have your dogs in the HOUSE then do not leave them alot of water also you could put a nasty scent to try to break their bad Habits.

your dog needs to be neutered
once neutered/spayed dogs usually stop their destructive behavior. also remember that there are between 4 and 5 millions healthy adoptable cats and dogs killed every year in the us because there aren't enough home for them.

Couple of questions - how old is your dog?-how long do you leave him alone?-is this a new behavior?-have you ever crate trained your dog?-let me know then I can advise from there.
