Seriously, if you don't believe in God or Jesus or whatever, then go about your damn business and let people live and believe what they wish.
You all sound just as worse, if not worse, than religious individuals with your condescending tone and rude comments.
Who really gives a *** if you don't believe in God. I'm not going to lose a bit of sleep over it. I don't give a rat's azz what/who you believe in just don't denounce what the hell I believe.
You're all so quick to call out Christians but you are the ones that post a million postings attacking people for their religious beliefs.
Who are the real Nazis?

BTW - You can't be confident or smart about something that is just as unproven as God's existence. Stop with your false sense of graduer.

I don't believe that I am arrogant. However, you should understand how insulting and frustrating it is to have 'bible bangers' constantly pushing their agenda onto me, it will NEVER change my mind or position. I have always been an Atheist, I will always be an Atheist. Maybe we would seen less defensive if the religious people would just leave us alone!

I agreed with most of your post - even though it's not really a question, now is it? - until the end.
"Who are the real Nazis?"
Now, I'm all for religiouis tolerance - and I'm an athiest - but such an ignorant statement as that deserves to be called out and ridiculed. There are just as many religious people posting on here calling athiests and agnostics ignorant - your post - and, again, it's not a question - being one of them.
Oh, and let's not forget all the holy wars (Spanish Inquisition, anyone?). So many religious people believe that their religion gives them the right to belittle and - in many cases - physically harm those who believe in anything different from their own dogmatic beliefs.
Personally, I don't think anyone - religious or otherwise - has the right to impose their beliefs on anyone else. But a post such as yours - calling athiests Nazis? That just shows the root of the problem there - that Holier Than Thou attitute, and a complete disconnection from reality.
Get over yourself.

Answer to question 1: Apparently other believers, not just christians.
Question 2: Why do believers call Atheists nazis? My grandparents left Germany to get away from the nazis. By the way, all nazis were christians.
Nice language, believer.

I know exactly what you're talking about. My family is Atheist so I can say this without offending anyone...I'm not sure if I'm an atheist or not but I don't shove it in other peoples faces. Christians and other religions do the same thing...I know from personal experience...In elementary school this baptist girl kept trying to convert me and on one field trip to the art museum my groups guide asked everyone what their religion was...that turned out to be a unique field trip...so I guess I have the right do the same I just choose not to...for some who had been told that they were going to hell so many times in elementary school, you would think I would t like Christians..but some of my best friends are...maybe atheists just get tired of people trying to convert them so they try to get those people to shut up and just stop. That's just what I think...

Dam* it that was funny! I Love a good head rollin rant! You said that perfectly.
And yes Christians cuss, and no God still doesn't hate them for it.
sheesh
Man Im sick of all these people thinking any God thinks like some limited human!
I'm a Gnostic. We just love to hear about and read about all religions, and spirituality. My grandfather taught me about the Great Spirit and how silly people are to believe that our big parents in the sky are haters, and that everything is sacred, and nothing is sacred.
Made more sense than anything else people shove at me.
Face it, any kind of zealot is arrogant and can't be reasoned with.
Period
In the words of one of my favorite teachers...
"Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way round or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.
Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend."

atheists aren't arrogant... they're just trying to prevent you from losing the little time you have... life is short , so live instead of wasting yuor time in a church built for an imaginary person you will NOT meet after you die since there is NOTHING after you die.
This is what most atheists think. They're sorry you can't see the simple truth that the existance of god has no importance and should not influence the way you live.
If god doesn't like the way you lead your life because you didn't go to church every sunday, then you're within your moral right to tell him he's plain stupid. And if god does that with every one, then hell will be much nicer than paradise. And if he doesn't, then you waste your time in church.
And that's only assuming god exists... if he doesn't, well... you obviously waste your time in church too...
And yes, atheists are so dumb they don't believe in god... but if he exists, he wouldn't care, and if he doesn't, the atheists would be right not to believe in him... so? who's stupid, now?
The thing is, most atheists don't know whether god exists or not, but they still manage to understand that it doesn't matter. And worse, the only thing religion does is giving preachers and popes some sort of control over their lives... religion only leads to enslavement. (i'm not saying god leads to enslavement, only religion) But look at history, and you'll see hundreds of examples where religion was used to enslave the feeble minds and use them for holy wars or tax them all their money. Americans should know that better than any other country, since they were persecuted for believing differently, but they still don't understand... (well, most of them, actually)
and finally, if someone needs the threat of an eternity in hell to be nice to other people, then it only means they're not necessarily nice... Atheists will act only as their heart or their moral code tells them to. Not because they fear what's after they die. If they do something nice to you, it means they're REALLY nice.
but of course, if you want to keep fearing a "nice god" as you put it, that will send you to hell if yuo don't pray every now and then, then please do so... it will only prove your irrationality.

Ignorance breeds arrogance. If you are a Christian, do you really believe that Jesus would be talking the way you are here? Is that really being Christian? What example are you giving that would show you have Jesus in YOU. When someone talks like that, it shows ignorance and a lack of Jesus in their lives as HE would never stay in a place that has that kind of language used. Do you see anywhere, even when He was angry that Jesus used foul language to make His point? Do you really belive that a Christian, one that is like Christ, should be doing it? Cool down as the saying goes, you can draw more flies with honey than you can with vinigar.

Well, I happen to know that there are some extreme atheists out there that set out to prove the Bible false. That there was no God and Jesus never existed. They are now devout Christians. No matter where you look, who you look at, and what belief they are, you are going to find extremists. Their sole purpose is to fill your mind up with crap so that you can't see that they really don't know what they are talking about. They haven't done enough extensive research to back up a damn thing they say.

Um, it's not the atheists who are forcing their beliefs on others. We've got "In God We Trust" on our money. The President ends every speech with "God Bless You." You swear on a Bible in court. Etc. etc.
We don't start wars or persecute people because they don't believe what we believe. Christians can't say the same, can they?
Arrogant? There's nothing more arrogant that a holy roller who is so sure he/she knows who's going to hell and who isn't, and who believes Jesus loves everyone, but some people are his favorites. Arrogant, my butt. You guys have the patent on arrogant.

I am not an atheist and I know it is the Christians who threw the first punch.
Ever hear the phrase, "You can dish it out, but you can't take it"? Christian fundamentalists have been on the attack for years now, trying to deny rights to homosexuals, trying to outlaw abortions, trying to keep women from obtaining equal rights, and trying to impose their own morals - many of them non-biblical - on the rest of society. Non-Fundamentalists are finally fighting back by speaking out against their campaigns, their media onslaughts, and their mistaken notions of truth, and the Fundamentalists don't like it very much. They can dish it out, but they can't take it. So when people of good conscience stand up for their rights, Fundamentalists cry foul - they claim they are being persecuted.
If we look back further in history, we can see even more violent "punches". With the fall of the Roman Empire, the librarian of Alexandria was pulled off her carriage and skinned alive. Literacy dropped. Even the Pope had to have the Bible read to him. In the first crusade, Christians killed tens of thousands of people they called "infidels". The Children's Crusade (1212) caused the deaths of nearly 50,000 children. Preachers sentenced to death and executed thousands during the Inquisition (1233-1834) for heresy and witchcraft. There were the the Salem witch trials (1692) in America. The 17th Century Thirty Years War (Catholics v. protestants) wiped out tens of millions in Europe. In the Taiping Rebellion in China in the 1850's a Christian cult started a war that resulted in the slaughter of twenty million people. In the Holocaust six million Jews were murdered. Muslims and Christians in Bosnia reached a death toll of over 250,000.

I am a Christian, saved sinner. I would just caution you, in love, that cussing diminishes any witness we can give to people. I would remind you, too, that anything that is typed onto these screens and put onto this board makes it the world's business, or at least however many people Yahoo Answers reaches.
I say this to you in Christ's love and with all respect.
All things in His Name-----thank you.
