Whichever or however probably the phenom of communicating, such as we are, is as phenomenal as the telephone "craze" that has besieged the airwaves...we apparently have a continuing and compelling need to listen to what others have to say, or it may be we just need to say something, anything, to someone, so as to validate our existence and humanity in this plasticized world we are or may find, ourselves in.
Possibly.

I've wondered the same thing myself.
I shake my head particularly hard when I see someone offer a long, detailed answer and then list wikipedia or some other web source as their answer. As it turns out, the answer is cribbed directly from the source.
I've come to the conclusion that this site is essentially a site where lazy morons can come and get information and informational website passages spoon-fed to them so that they don't need to do any work.

Ohmigosh, thank you for asking this. Wish I could answer it myself. I look at some of them and think, why didn't you just do a simple search, instead of having to go back and read all the answers, some of which are snide.

Who knows--people probably don't feel like researching, and you can get instantaneous answers on Yahoo! Answers. Otherwise, I totally agree with you! (More points for us, I suppose!)
