You're right. Most people may think, "we're living in the 21st century here..." but what's wrong with doing the right thing? At least I think it's right to save your chastity 'till after marriage, and I don't just say that from a religious perspective. I say it morally and I say it to be wise. Boys and girls get into things they don't think about before marriage, but using the word "marriage" puts a huge mental responsibilty on both parties- and they think before they act. If people just did that more, they would end up much happier. And, then the girl never has to worry about being left alone with a baby, or how to take care of it or what to do with it. A man doesn't have to commit to taking care of a family until he is mentally and financially (even emotionally) stable. :) Good point by the way!

Luwv,
I am not trying to be overly religious or force my religion on you or anyone else here. However, as a devout Christian, this is what I believe concerning sex and human nature:
Sex was originally meant by God to be saved for marriage. However, you must remember that the world is a very impure place. Sex is everywhere these days and some people are being pressured into sex. You can unleash your "freaky side", as you put it, when you are married. But people enjoy sex and they sometimes refuse to consider waiting as an option.

As for how people are pressured into it, some think that sex is a way to express love (and it is) but they don't see that having a sexual relationship creates ties between them and their partner that will last forever. Some people say "If you love me, then let's have sex." I still believe that waiting is the best option. You can wait if you can excersize the restraint it takes. I am 16. I know girls younger and older than me who have had sex. Yet, because I am a Christian, I know sex was meant for marriage. I actuallly made a promise to remain a virgin until I am married. I wear a special ring on my right hand as a sign of this promise. You can do it too, if you want to!

If sex is your aim for marriage, then you have missed the point. Marriage is understanding of two people. If is like a side dish in a main course of food. If you want only side dish, you will end up getting disappointed. Main purpose of GOD creating a sex is to sustain and create generation. Satan has peverted this thought and introduced on our focus only on sex. That is why this whole world is in a big mess. If only our people would live by the principle "self-control" - [ Fruits of the spirit Galatians 5:22-23 in the bible ].

That is why sex should not be practiced outside marriage.

In HIS love,
Edwin.

this is unrealistic in todays day in age. It is a well known fact that sex is one of the most important aspects of a marriage and when couples get married w.o expirementing in sex they most likely end up in divorce. There is nothing wrong with have sex before marriage, what if you just dont want to get married. Why do we live in a society where "sex" is a sin. Sex is healthy and a beautiful part of life...GET OVER what you read in the bible...dont believe everything you read!!

Because we don't want to wait. It's not a sin to have sex, you need to get a differnt mindset. It's STUPID to wait until marriage to have sex. What if you're not compatible ? I agree with the above comment - you wouldn't buy a car without testdriving. I actually told my children that they ought to have sex before marriage. Be safe about it, make sure you like the partner, have fun and explore.

I see nothing wrong with waiting for marriage. You will have a bond that most people who slept all over the place will not have and will not compare your spouse to former lovers. Both of you can figure out sex, it's natural. Go with what YOU feel is right for you and your loved one.

Who says everyone feels guilty about the adventurous sex they have. I wouldn't change my past for anything. And I don't think anything I have done is sinful.

You wouldn't by a car without test driving it would you?
Why would you marry some one only to find out later that they suck in bed. It's much better to find out beforehand if the person you are "going to spend the rest of your life with" is even compatible with your sexual style. That way you know for sure if the person is frigid or would rather swing from the ceiling fan.

I wish I knew the answer to that one. We are supposed to reserve ourselves for marriage, but as far as the freaky side goes, there's certain things that cannot be done even in marriage, so be careful!

When you are married the joy of helping each other becomes the primary love not lustful sex. You can only get freaky if you both agree!
