"would you quit beating your wife if you wanted to?"
Your dumb question deserves a dumb answer...
If God quit existing nothing would exist... so no He doesn't want to quit existing....
He said that our sous are eternal, forever and ever... heaven or hell- no end.... so if our souls are eternal that means God is eternal....
God bless you and yours...

When I was a kid and taking catechism in Catholic school, we kids use to come up with questions like yours just to see if we could stump the priests. We'd ask, "So, Father, can God create a rock bigger than he can lift?"
The pat answer was always, "Son, God would not do anything that defies nature."
I haven't been religious for a long, long time. I think this question and response are partly why. Not only did the priest ignore my question, but he gave an answer that made no sense. For example, who created nature. And, if there is a God, wouldn't he be able to change "nature."
Of course, we kids were just trying to come up with b.s. that would make the priests feel as uncomfortable as we did. The question that you pose is like that. It's one of those "When did you stop beating your spouse" questions. It can't be answered.
As for a "yes" or "no" answer, I'll leave that to the deists.

no, logically that could not happen. If you say He could kill himself, then He would not be all mighty, cause He can stop existing. If you say He cant kill Himself, He would also not be all mighty, because He is not mighty enough to kill Himself.
God can not do things that are illogical to begin with. He is all mighty. Might Has to do with His power. Not abilities per se. Everything outside reason He cant do. God is a God that makes sense.
Any answer to that question leads to God being not all mighty and imperfect, but because He is the question can never be answered to fit God. Eternal, almighty and perfect.
There is more He cant do. For example making morally free humans without a free will. Its logically just impossible.

He could if he wanted to but it wouldn't be logical and God is eminently logical even if We don't always understand what he does. (I say "he" to follow convention, tho God is more of an "is")...I certainly hope he doesn't decide to stop existing as I'm a bit afraid that like the creatures in the White King's dream, we'd all go out like candles...OK, odd answer...but consider the question!

since "God is all powerfull" then yes, he could. But since god is a timeless entity, he won't, or he wouldn't have appeared at all : the fact that he (supposedly) appeared means that he exists. And since he exists (supposedly) and he is withuot time, then it figures that he won't disapear because he would already had, and we wouldn't ever have heard of him...
this looks like the "what I'm saying is a lie" paradox... Better not caring about that kind of things and see whether he does exist or not on the other side (if there's one)

Of course He could, since he can do anything. He could even make Himself as big as an elephant or as small as a mouse if He wanted to. But a couple of things I'm not sure of, are (1) Could He make a rock so heavy that even He couldn't lift it? and (2) Could He create another god twice as smart and 3 times as powerful as Himself?

would you kill yourself just because you don't want to live no more, of course you could? But in God's point of view, is a different and odd thing to do, because He is no human and doesn't think the way you think, and that way of thinking is Satanic.....so stop asking dumb questions and ask questions that can make grow more faith and hope towards God.....write back at israelmoya20@yahoo.com

That would be tantamount to "committing suicide", wouldn't it? Which, by the way is forbidden by the Bible - which is full of the laws He set down for us. So unless He wants to become a hypocrite, maybe he would.
Then again, He's God, so His commandments may not apply to himself.
It can go either way, I guess.

I think it has already happened! That's why when we ask him for things now it never happens. That's why we never see signs and miracles like in the Bible. Or maybe there never was a "God"!
email me I want to show you something cool. It will make you think of how small we are compared to the rest of the universe.

Assuming God exists, She/He has better things to do than worry about humankind, I mean come on, it's a pretty big universe out there.
