i am concerned for a friend, she asked me this question, if someone is infected with the hiv virus, would the acute or primary symptoms of hiv appear (2-4) weeks of infection ,before the antibody in the blood ? can you help ?

from my perspective i think that the early symptoms are a result of present of the antibbodies in an infected person blood.

and i know what you are going to ask..will it show up..yes it will....

plz people dont depend on symptoms. if u r in doubt there are blood tests that can detect hiv virus if accidently it has entered the body. these tests can detect very early if virus has entered and then can be dealt with. pz if u have doubt ask u r local doc. the tests are costly but very helpful. SYMPTOMS ARE VAGUE THEY WILL NOT HELP IN ANY WAY.

I believe that the antibodies appear a long time before symptons do.

honey, you need to go to the doctors with your friend. theres no other way of knowing anything for sure
