dont listen to the other girls. guys are SUPPOSED to weigh more than girls. they're all like..."omgsh thats a LOT!!!"
uh..duh. guys always weigh more than girls.
i dont think you weigh THAT much, but you can afford to lose SOME weight...
lets see...uhm....stop drinking soda, and replace it with water. eat about 1500 calories a day
and go swimming. probably like an hour a day, for like 5 days. its good b/c it works out the WHOLE body and puts no pressure on your joints so thers no injury!!!

Don't fret young man, your boy is still going through puberty. For your heigth and current weight you are in the correct desired weight. If you feel you have a little extra to get rid of around your waist or other areas, try sit ups or crunches. On average you would do a set of twenty wait fifteen minuets and then do another set of twenty. Do this every other day. On the alternate days try jogging for ten minuets, twice a day. This may seem like a very simple routine, but that's just it, IT NEEDS TO BE A ROUTINE.
Stay with it and within a month you will see a noticeable difference.

You have to watch everything you eat. Don't eat fast food at all! That is a killer! Eat a lot of fresh fruits and veggies. Lots of protein will help build muscle, but remember muscle weighs more than fat. So, don't base your progress on your weight, base it on the inches you've lost.
The best way to lose those extra pounds is to eat a healthy diet, and break your meals out into 5 or 6 a day instead of three big ones. Always eat breakfast. That way, your metabolism will increase and you'll lose weight.
And don't forget to move! Exercise is very good for you.

Hi,
I'm a fitness coordinator for a fire dept. in TX. The average weight for a female 5.7 is about 130 to 145 depending of your frame and how much muscle you have. My suggestion for losing FAT not weight is. 1) do not try to lose weight too fast about 2 to 3 pounds per week is best. 2) DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF!!! starvation diets or diets too low in calories can lead to more weight gain in the future because your metabolism will slow. 3) Eat natural foods, veggies, lean protein (extra lean beef, chicken breast ,fish) avoid processed foods. Eat six small meals instead of 3 big ones. Avoid sugar and any bread or pasta made with "enriched flour" 4) Drink plenty of water throughout the day if possible 3 liters to 1 gallon. 5) Do 30 to 45 min of aerobic exercise in the morning before breakfast (bicycling, skating fast walking, running, any thing to get your heart rate up for a sustained period. 6) Consult a doctor before any diet or exercise program. I hope this helps, SK

You should be a size 30 or 32 (at the most) in the waist for your height. I would not worry about the numbers on the scale, but your fitness level. Maybe join a local Y program or gym and start slowly. Do some ab and arm work with weights. Build up your cardio... start walking then build to running. You're young and will get fit fast. :)
