yeah, I'm afraid tothe Americans who want to defend it, bad luck guys, the entire rest of the world agrees. American beer has officially been voted the worst in the world. If you ever visit a coutry with a great historical brewing tradition like Germany, Czech Rep., Australia, England, Poland and yes, even Italy, the beers are infinately better designed, more varieties of flavour, texture, colour and after taste. Despite being stronger, they don't lose the taste either. When it comes down to it, American beers are weak, low alcohol, fairly flavourless and unadventurous, and lack variety. My guess is that they tend to prefer non-dominant flavours so as to enhance the gourmet 5 pound burger they are having with it...

This is an opinion but, personally I know people who like strong tasting beer. American beer will not do. Most americans dont want that real "hops" strong flavor. Real beer drinkers like Beer Not light beer. I am a Miller light drinker myself. Only because I am American and I dont like that strong taste. Thats what I call Piss Beer.

Its to light and watered down. You'd think that since we were a British colony, we'd have kept some of the like for darker, thicker beer but apparently we pansied out and ended up with Budweiser. We have some good micro brews but I don't waste my taste buds on to many domestics.

Because everything Americans make sucks. It shouldn't be a surprise that the beer is just as bad as their cars.

Rose, he isn't criticizing Americans, just the beer.
Btw, beer was originally made in ancient Egypt. It was a staple in their diet, but back then, the brew had a lot more nutrients and less "drunk" in it.

American beers are "watered down" to appeal to women. Germany still makes beer for men.

I think you suck. Give me a Shiner Bock, Budweiser, or Coors Original. Anything with Light or Miller printed on it I use to water my lawn.

It's not that it sucks... it's just not what you are used to... remember that we may think your beer sucks too. Be tolerant of other cultures and their cuisine.
