Probably!! LOL.. or it's Joseph's child.

Come on, WHO really believes in the immaculate conception? THAT is absurd. I believe Jesus existed (and was a person, not a god) but do not believe in the immaculate conception.

And YES, it was borrowed from older religions, just as the resurrection was!

nicely in case you took the Bible actually then specific I say this is the main reasonable clarification for the angel BS Mary fed Joseph . On a ingredient word ..... in numerous mythologies a topic that repeats itself continuously from faith to faith is how maximum a million/2 mortals have been conceived by virgin mothers . A virgin mom gave reason on no account to doubt that the baby became the son/daughter of a god and became conceived by supernatural skill. merely yet another actuality that proves Christianity isn't as unique as believed by its followers .

I don't understand how Mary and Joseph were married and she supposedly was still a virgin. Isn't that what wedding nights are all about? Sounds fishy to me.

Why would God send His son into the world that way? For God to send Truth into the world based on a lie goes against the very nature of the uncreated God of the Bible and is frankly illogical. Now if your challenging the Deity of Jesus Christ than you are really discounting all of Christianity, it's explanation of life and it's purpose. Of course you can do that, but, be aware that in the end it takes a whole lot more "Faith" to believe in any other theory (that i know of) put forth to explain our existence. Bless your seeking.

There is insufficent evidence about anything when it comes to the Jesus story. Here is one piece, make of it what you will. An entry in the Talmud says that Jesus was the illegitimate son of Mary and a Roman soldier named Pantera. If she wanted to feel that God gave him to her, I can understand.

Well, I guess that all depends if you believe it or not. A lot of people believe that Mary did cheat. But it's up to you what you believe. I personally do believe she was a virgin mother, but as I said, to each his own.

That is what Joseph thought at first until the Angel Gabriel appeared to him and told him that Mary was pregnant with God's child and that he should go ahead and marry her.

It's far more likely that Joseph was the father and the virgin birth thing was made up later.
