If I work at a casino, is that morally wrong? Am I supporting the devil? Or are casinos not wrong, only the people who abuse them by gambling over their head?

This is one that you have to rely on your own heart to tell you
if you have convictions within your heart about the job that you do and it causes you trouble within your thoughts and spirit---then you must turn loose of it---if it is no problem within your heart and you are not having problems within your thinking about it---stay on track
Before God--your heart will lead you in such matters

The biggest problem with working at a casino is steering clear of all the corruption . . . kind of like being a politician.

Probably an impossibility if you want to go far in a casino career.

An action in itself is neither "right" nor "wrong;" the motive ultimately makes all the difference.

And as for mores? The mores are just what is socially acceptable . . . so by that, yeah, it's morally acceptable. As for it being God's will? Only you will know that for sure, but I'm betting you can serve our brothers in a much more efficient way.

Think of it as getting money from idiots who have nothing better to do than gamble on what they already know to be a losing battle. It's not supporting the devil when they come on their own volition.

I haven't seen anything in the Bible against the casino. What is definitely wrong is people lusting after money. Money is not the root of evil...the LOVE of money is the root of all evil.

Why would it be wrong to work at a casino? It's perfectly legal.

No, it's okay.

There's nothing inherently sinful in gambling, provided that it's not done to excess, and provided that it doesn't lead one to neglect his/her family, job, financial situation, etc.

In moderation, it's okay -- and it's actually helpful because it helps people who work there have jobs.

Again, as long as it's in MODERATION, which is a point that cannot be emphasized enough.

You can do whatever you want. "God" gave you free-will. The devil in Western Christianity is Hades. Hades doesn't exist in true Christianity. A real Christian knows that "Satan" is just a metaphor for evil thought. Evil thought is something that may harm you or others.

I don't think it's wrong, but the only person that matters in this situation happens to be you.

You're the one that works there and needs to decide that kind of issue for yourself. We can tell you what we think all we want, but it all boils down to opinions.

Good luck.
