I will tell you something I tried and really enjoyed. I didn't think it would be that good, but I was very surprised. It a Margarita "Bucket". They sell them at Walmart and Sam's Club and probably other places. It's so simple but make a GREAT margarita. You simply add tequilla, (I have think that silver tequilla makes a much better drink) and put the bucket in the freezer. It makes a PERFECT margarita. No ice or blender messes. Try it, let me know what you think:)

For simplicity, the mix. For individuality the triple sec and lime. Personally I prefer the triple sec and lime juice ones but depending on how its mixed there really isn't a whole lot of difference. I just like the "authentic" better.

Definitely Triple sec and lime juice. Most mixes are far to sweet for my tastes.

The Bacardi frozen mix isn't too bad, but the bottle mixes suck in my opinion. Or you can make your own:

Take one small can of frozen limeaid. Dump it in the blender. Fill empty can with tequila 1/2 way for weak margaritas (all the way for strong ones). Add to blender. Add about 1/3 can of triple sec. Add ice and blend. You can add a shot of grand marnier (or another "sweet" liquor) if you want them a little sweet.

ok... here is how I do it at the bar, and I sell out when I put them on special..... Take your mix, and add some water, you want it to taste like Kool-aid... not too tart or tangy.... do your ounce to ounce 1/2 of tequila (or more if you want), 1/2 ounce of triple sec, and about a tblspoon of lime.. add a pinch of marg. salt to the drink and shake... pour it in a glass over ice and a couple slices of lime (rim the glass with salt if you want) and drink up.... never had a complaint!!

If you use the mix and want to make it taste more like you made it your self add a splash of orange juice and a squirt of lime...

Contreu and fresh lime juice is best, also use a clear tequila, does not need to be expensive to be good.

the mix is very easy to use so most often I go for that. Jose Cuervo has a premixed that is very good. Just pout it over ice and your done. It's good stuff.
