Just started going back to the gym and I am starting to care more and more what I look like... I have some hair on my back... I am no bear, more like a forrest after a fire... should I wax it and get it over with? or is that too gay?

if there isn't a lot of hair and light. Then there is no point but if the hair is dark and a lot then I would.

You are a MAN! You are supposed to have hair, on your chest, on your belly, your shoulders and back! Why would you want to get rid of your manly characteristics?
If i wanted to date someone hairless I'd date a 12 year old boy (illegal), or a woman (I don't float that way.)
When I'm with a man, I want a man with a man's body, hairy. I want to run my fingers through his chest hair, and down his back.
Don't judge your own body by looking at other guys. Have you ever once thought that maybe that prepubescent hairless guy working out next to you at the gym wishes he had chest or back hair? You are yourself, you are unique, and I bet you're sexy just the way you are!
If you're worried about attracting women, well, why do you want to attract women who aren't attracted to you as you are? Do you want to hook up with a woman who thinks you're hairless and be stuck waxing your back for the rest of your life, it's akin to living a lie. Why can't you just find a normal, sweet, caring and sexy girl who will love you for who you are, back hair and all? It's not like lookin' for a mermaid, those don't exist, sweet and sensible girls do!
'Course, maybe you want to attract the Barbie-doll type of woman, who cares only about her outward appearance, and doesn't care about how she treats people, or how educated she is. If you are more into superficial attraction, go for it, wax your entire body if you really feel you need to. Just try to avoid the whole "everyone else is doing it..." syndrome. So spineless... I'd rather be with a man with a hairy backbone than with a man with no backbone at all.
