to suspendor : bible and quran both are from one god , so their messages was same and it was same with the message of moses and prophets before them,"that is to worship one god without any partners", but people changed the original messages of the prophets and thats why god sent newer prophets here on earth one after another until he sent prophet mohammad as the last prophet and he said he will protect the last holy book(quran) from changing.i hope that explained
some contradictions.

to frank : I think its good to tell others about these miracles that i know, the rest is up to them. did you ,your self, knew about these miracles before ??or all you had heard about islam was the nagative propaganda about islam by its enemies.
any way if i know a truth I think its good to share them with others and not hide it.
the rest is up to them.

again to ralfbless:by the way I have the love and grace and compassion of one god that I worship him alone and i dont join partners with him.
and the spritual content of quran is so much strong too but here I talked about scientific and mathematical miracles of quran.
god bless you

to speckless: you said "you can attribute this to the fact that ancient Greek and Roman sciences were preserved by Islamic scholars until Crusaders picked them up"
quran was revealed to prophet mohammad and he preached ppl and converted people of arabia to islam.
it was after prof. mohammad`s death that
the muslim society was well-stablished and
muslim scientists began to collect scienses from all over the world. and the revelation of quran as i explained was before that.secondly as I explained a lot of these facts has been proven in RECENT years.

about one other side of earth being water
maybe it pointed to the vast place that there is ocean in the other side, the below
article can be so interesting for you considering the land and sea areas :

The word "land" appears 13 times in the Qur'an and the word "sea" 32 times, giving a total of 45 references. If we divide that number by that of the number of references to the land we arrive at the figure 28.888888888889%. The number of total references to land and sea, 45, divided by the number of references to the sea in the Qur'an, 32, is 71.111111111111%. Extraordinarily, these figures represent the exact proportions of land and sea on the Earth today.

agian to speckless:in that part of quran
it is telling a story of a man who "thinks"
that the sun is seting in a muddy spring
the quran doesnt claim that sun sets in a muddy spring, but it narrates in a story that "a man thinks or imagines this" so it tells a story of a man who thinks wrongly
or this appeared to the man like this.

about the theory of tierd light and the universe ongoing(maybe "ongoing" is a better translation than "ever" here) expandind. ok , the fact that the universe is ongoing expanding is true ,because after the big bang it is ongoing expanding.
and that with the light getting weaker as it travels further in the universe, in my idea doesnt have contradictions ,but i have to admit that i havent studied these theories well and in detail.and I dont know the exact verses in quran that they extracted these facts.and there is a possibility that those verses in qoran didnt pointed to that theory,
or the present form of the theory.

but any ways, the point is if sb look at all these mathematical and scientific miracles
that lots of them have been proven in the RECENT years, sincerely, he will testify that it wasnt from an iliterate person in the deserts of arabia , this was from god .that sent it down to guide mankind

You raise some interesting points, but I'm not sure they prove what you want them to. The 'miracles' of the quran show a clever usage of words, but keeping track of the number of times a word shows up in the quran is neither divine nor miraculous. As for several of the scientific claims made in the quran, they're often a good deal more accurate than those made in the bible - you can attribute this to the fact that ancient Greek and Roman sciences were preserved by Islamic scholars until Crusaders picked them up, but I'm guessing you're saying any scientific accuracies are the result of divine knowledge.
Some of the scientific facts you pick are contradictory - the 'tired light' theory is a theory that states that although it appears the universe is and always will be expanding, it in fact is not. You can either have tired light or an always expanding universe, not both - they're competing theories, so either way, you've got one right and one wrong. And while the quran's predictions about the shape of the earth is impressive - I still hold this to science, not religion - the quran also states that the other side of the earth is covered in water, overlooking the yet undiscovered continents of North and South America. There are numerous other scientific errors in the quran - the claim of a man who found that the sun set every day in a "muddy spring", that the stars are the 'lowest layer' of the night sky, etc. The quran does have some fascinating scientific insights - but even in a holy book, scientific insights are the result of science, not religion.

And but there used to be now not sufficient miracle to be had to permit you to put up the internet site. Or as a substitute of depending on a hyperlink (like such a lot of devout livestock do), how approximately explaining right here for your possess phrases (with out chopping and pasting) all of those clinical miracles. I guess that you just cannot do this. You recognise that you don't rather have an understanding of the technology and you're most of the time simply going through what you could have learn at the internet site to start with.

What about the part where it says male sperm comes from the back?

All "medical" staements by the Koran were all known at that time. When I ask about the errors, specifically, the male sperm origin, Im told, that God didnt want to "revelate" the worlds knowledge, and wanted man to find these things for himself.

LoL built in excuses for eveything, it not exclusive to Islam either.

But, dont come on here shouting miracles in the Koran when everyone knows differently.

If Islam is your faith, then thats fine. Keep it yours. The problem is when people try to convert other people ( such as you right now ). People will convert when they are ready, and reading posts such as this never helps anyone, in fact, if anything, it only destroys faith, whatever faith you may have, they are all free game here.

Because:
1) they don't get much play
2) they're not all that impressive.
3) it contradicts proven scriptures:

4:136 O ye who believe! Believe in Allah and His Apostle, and the scripture which He hath sent to His Apostle and the scripture which He sent to those before (him). Any who denieth Allah, His angels, His Books, His Apostles, and the Day of Judgment, hath gone far, far astray.

KEY REFERENCE!!! "Believe the Scripture which He sent to those before." THAT means the Bible! Yet the Bible and the Quran contradict each other on key points. (Jesus as God-Man, Salvation by the Cross) Therefore, how can they have the same Author? And if they don't have the same Author, which is which? Qu'ran says it agrees, but it doesn't. Therefore it MUST be authored by a LIAR. Scripture identifies the liar as Shaitan. And Shaitan knows science very well. Therefore, the Qu'ran is authored by Satan. COME AWAY FROM HER, MY PEOPLE!

well, news to me. I never heard about miracles with "scientific" evidence disclosed in the Qu'ran besides the fact that Mohammed allegedly couldn't read or write and wrote it down -

however, there is no proof either that he might not have had "somebody" write it for him in his cave recluse

I am sure there are many allegorical and "interpretative" passages in the Qu'ran, like there are many in the bible whcih could be interpreted as "scientific" or otherwise.

But there is no need for proof as the Qu'ran - and the bible - are supposed to be books of religion, the spirit, talking and explaing about God and how life on earth is dependednt on God etc.

If you are a muslim and happy with your belief and religion then I am glad for you.

I am however unhappy because you will miss out on all the love and grace and compassion the real God has for us.

If you have time to compare read the bible and you will also find many passages potentially referring to "science",

the spiritual content however is the only one which counts.

In Genesis in the bible you can find "evidence" about the Big Bang, you can find many other books in the bible with references to biological and other natural functions not readily known in old times.

God Bless you and guide you

Right off the bat, you're wrong. There has never been found on earth any writings of any kind, on stone, on parchment, wood, or anything else that was not put there my man.
And, on the other hand, the "holy" book of each of the major religions of the world have hundreds of articles that woild check out today as being accurate, so ehat's the big deal with the koran?

2006-07-31 05:00:45 · answer #7 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

You haven't learned very much. It is man's interpretation of God's word. You misunderstand that we apply facts to fit what ever we like. A study once showed that men that smoked cigars had less prostatic cancer than non-smokers...it is a numbers game...but you say about the ever-expanding universe...ever hear of infinity...People do not need to justify their belief to anyone. If the religion works for you, it is a private matter until someone wants help to understand your belief. I am a Buddhist but I see no reason to expound on my religion to you to persuade you to my thoughts...if you asked me, then I would feel duty-bound to explain what I know. You wear your religion on your shirt-sleeve and it is very easily offended. Keep your thoughts in your heart and you will find more happiness for your soul.

The same reason I don't believe the people that say the Bible is the word of God. It's your opinion, just like the Bible is Christian's opinion. NOT MINE.
