God has created this universe and possibly many more such universes. Why does he indulge into this act of manifestation?
What is the reason behind his creation of this whole paraphernalia, if he is ever contented and without any desires?

"Why does God create his illusionary world full of innumerable manifestations of his own self?"
I don't think that it's illusory. That would imply that it was not real. I think this Earth is as real as anything, just temporary. Innumerable? I thik He knows how many there are. He knows the number of hairs on your head.! I don't want to count them, I guess I'll take His word for it.

"God has created this universe and possibly many more such universes. Why does he indulge into this act of manifestation?"
God likes to make stuff. That's what He does. He created us with freewill, because I suppose He likes His creations to willingly come to Him.

I'm glad He's God. I'm really looking forward to being with Him. All my sins forgiven. My sin nature taken away. I don't exaclty know what that will be like, but I imagine that I will be so relieved.

"What is the reason behind his creation of this whole paraphernalia, if he is ever contented and without any desires?"
I think that desires and contentment can coincide. Other than that, I just don't know.
