My boyfriend "captured the moon" for me. There was a big dish of water in the garden, and he pointed out the reflection of the moon and said he would capture it for me. He stuck his hand in the dish and pulled out a tiny silver crescent moon that was hidden in the bottom of the dish. Of course he had bought the silver moon pendant at the jewellery store in advance, and he had a silver chain ready so I could wear the moon around my neck! I thought it was very romantic. It must have taken some planning - he had timed it so the reflected moon at that time of the month was the same shape as the silver pendant. I pointed out that the moon was still in the sky, even though I was wearing it around my neck, and he said that the moon re-grows after it's been captured, like a lizard re-grows its tail!

Take him outside on a dark clear night when the moon is big and bright, tell him what he means to you and say you are giving him the moon on this night because it is something you want to do to show him your love, you have to reach out and take it in your minds eye and give it to your love, he will totally understand you because he loves you, hope you get to do it soon and don't forget to make a wish if its a new moon, good luck.

You can buy a piece of the moon, but you can also pay to name a star, which I think is far more romantic!

I don't know about the moon, but I've put glow in the dark stars all over my ceilings and it's amazing! Just like the night sky, but without the bugs and rain!!

Go and buy a picture and don't risk your own equipment. Go to Google - click on images and type in moon - there's loads! Print one off and you don't even have to pay.
