Every person who answers a religious Q and is not a believer is really hateful. Why are you so angry? I think it is because true joy comes from the Lord, and you have none. But you can if you just believe in Him.

Oh not everybody. But sometime Christians just say things that seem so naive and silly to a freethinker that we can''t help making a joke.
Christians are always asking me if I am every worried about where I will go after I die. I tell them I have it all figured out. I am going to medical school. When they stand there all dopey (this is an answer they don't expect) I explain that I have arranged to donate my body to to a medical school as a cadaver. I tell them to look into it because it saves your family a lot of money, after the school is thru with you they cremate you and scatter.
I let Christians do their thing because this is America and everybody has rights.
And I'm not putting down Christians who just live their lives and let everybody else live their lives too. It's the ones who won't leave you alone about it after you've said "No thanks" I'm talking about.
You must also remember that the strain of being a "Freethinker" (I like that term too) in a place like an American red state can get irritating. Everytime we hear of some "preacher" taking money from his flock telling them he's going to use it to buy bibles for the heathens and spending in on his air conditioned dog house or some church related sex scandal or some idiot who couldn't pass 9th grade biology trying to dictate medical care for some poor women ten states away yeah, some of us get angry.
And you know what really p****s us off? That snotty superior "true joy comes only from the Lord" attitude. That "you are all so deluded and sorry but I'll pray for you and maybe you'll see the light" pity.
Keep your pity. And if you don't pray in school, we won't come and think in church.

No...I don't believe that. I'm very religious and I use a great deal of humor and sarcasm to answer a lot of the religious Q & A.

At least the non-believers have an excuse to behave in an angry and hateful manner...they don't recognize God...nor His will.

But the hateful and angry Christians do more damage to our cause than any Atheist can ever do...and there's a HUGE amount of hateful and angry Christians on Yahoo answers.

I believe that "joy" includes humor...the human condition...and slapping ourselves in the face when we see how ridiculous and hypocritical we can be. (Look at the bunch of losers that Jesus chose as His Apostles!)

A true Christian should be able to poke fun at himself and also use himself as an example as how easy it it to fail. This isn't anger or hate...it's maturity.

A pompous and self-righteous Christian is no different than an Pharisee in this case. How is God's will acheieved by hitting a non-believer on the head with a Bible until he bleeds?

I have seen some really nasty and intolerant, hate full Christians on here as well. In all fairness you need to reiterate and re think your own question. From a religious place... You are being biased and unfair.

I mean look at the way you posed your question in that christian mentality Neener neener neener, ha ha ha I have God and you don't, type provoking and calling out for someone to respond in a perpetuating kind of taunt that just makes it all go on and on and on... You are a part of the problem! Some people love God as a prop out of no greater need but to perpetuate competition and striving to be better and right. It is defensive bullying and it is a damn shame!

Atheists come from a place of science and do not understand what they cannot prove so rather than coming at them with your opinion which is neither right or wrong considering it is just that historical and faith based you seem ignorant to them.

Most Christians have absolutely no idea what they believe or why. and a scientist is going to always question that. and to be perfectly honest it was God who gave them that nature and it is the correct one to have. Christians are stationary and do not often delve out of their tiny little comfort zones. Atheists (when intelligent and rational) have the right idea. God said "Test the spirits." and "Use your wisdom."

I honestly believe that their is far greater joy for God when an atheist finally comes to understand after all his earnest searching than when a complacent fat-lazy spirited christian molls around like a lemming following after concept and adopting ideals just because mommy and daddy told them to.

Bless God and peace to all on their journey!

What's funny is, we're not angry.

I am not hateful. I don't need true joy from the Lord because I can get it through believing in what I believe in.

Answer me this? Why is it that all Christians think that your a fool if your not a Christain? Why is it that if you defy their beliefs your automatically a sinner and you need to be converted?

That's silly. We're not hateful. We just believe as devoutly as you do. True joy for me comes from within and the fact that I don't have to depend on, what I see, as an imagined outside source for my own happiness. I am glad if being a Christian, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist, Creationist, etc. makes you happy! I hope you're happy! I wish nothing but happiness to you. That being said, I do get angry when people try to justify their wrong actions through their religion... or, when they take the responsibility for their decisions off of themselves and place them on a diety.

Hope you have a great day!

If I angry, it is because I despise ignorance and lies. I find it increasingly difficult to tolerate those who pathetically cling to irrational, primitive belief systems rather than develop their own intellects and the ability to reason about the problems the world faces rather than bow down and scrape before this myth or that. I am also quite disgusted by the long history of genocide, slavery, and war that is the legacy of all the world's major religions. Believing in fiction only makes you an object of pity and of scorn; your beliefs will not save you as conditions in the environment continue to decline.

Well, i answer religious questions, but im not religious.
I don't do it out of hate
I go to a Catholic School so i just answer off what i learn in religion class
its not like I'm atheist or anything
I'm ignostic
i just let my life run without religion interfering in everyday stuff
(not saying it is bad or anything, religion is a good thing)
The thing is that
I find it hard to believe i can find joy in believing something that no one can prove real.
I mean, sure billions of people my believe in God, but if you can give me even ONE real thing that explains God is real, then sure, i'll switch it christianity or watever is right.
(this isn't hate, it's just reasoning)

Your a COMPLETE IDIOT!!!!!!!! So dumb you don't even have a name! Moron! I HATE YOU!!! YOU MAKE ME ANGRY BECUASE YOUR SO IGNORANT!!!!!!

The reason "non-believers" may seem "hateful" ....well actually I will just speak for myself but others would probably agree, is that I am not a cowardly biatch like you. I AM NOT AFRAID OF MY HATE OR ANGER!!!!!! Like your dumb brainwashed cowardly self is. I don't find it neccassary to respond to everything with a happy and polite smile on my face like some some happy robot. Most of the time I'm a nice person, but if I want to get things a little riled up I will! Ironically, it's fun. lol

SO YOU CAN TAKE YOUR GARBAGE FANTASY BOOK OF LIES AND SHOVE UP YOUR ATH!

Funny I notice the same thing. I also see quite a bit of hate coming from the side of the so-called believers.

I get the feeling that a lot of them are believers in name only.

They don't seem to understand much of anything that Jesus said.

Ask Mohamed, why he is angry at Jesus. Is it because Jesus is elder to Mohamed and doing his Big Brother act, may be. While, Far east People are the greatest fools to try and get in the middle of the two Middle Eastern brothers. They have no clue of Middle Eastern life style.
