This can be found at Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

People go to church for a few reasons.
They want to know the Truth and they believe that a minister can give it to them. ( this isn't always the case )
Others go because they think that it is their duty to do so.
They were taught that by their parents.
Some feel that church is the only place that God will listen to you.
I was once like this.
I think that the understanding that you yourself are the Church.
Not a building somewhere.
The Church is the whole body of Christ of which you are a part.
Not every Christian goes to church meeting.
There are many that do not.
There are some that go there and wouldn't miss it for anything.
There is one place where it says,"forsake not the meeting together as some are used to"
Heb 10:25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more, as you see the day drawing near.
If you find a place that you are comfortable with then go. If you are not comfortable then don't go.
I have gone to many churches. I have heard the Gospel said in many different ways. I have seen back biting and put the law on you in the different churches. When I became uncomfortable I left.
There was a time I didn't go for 11 years.
So then I would say, do as you feel comfortable with. I went to about ten churches of different denominations.

I notice a lot of people are using the passage is Hebrews to answer your question. But, does that say "church", specifically? No. Preachers use that to get you to come to church and make you feel quilty for missing church, etc. I am a Christian, but I believe that the passage these are referring to means surround yourself with likeminded people. You can do that without going to church. I used to go to church at least 3 times a week until recently. Then I realized I was trying to prove myself to God. It won't work. So, to answer your question, personally, no I do not think it commands you in the Bible to go to church.

No, there is no "command" that says this, although it does say, as others here have pointed out not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together.
If you want some reasons why to attend church here are some to think about.
a) not to worship with others
b) to help gain a better understanding of teachings in the Bible and how they related in our day to day life
c) to tithe (offering)
but the most important reason to go should be because you want to, if you feel forced into going you shouldn't be there.

I'm not sure if it tells you that you have to. However if you read the Bible from beginning to end and really focus and meditate what you read you'll want to go to church and what is more you'll know which religion is the one to be in. Read the 10 commandments and meditate over them and you'll be one step closer to the truth. Maybe you should try to contact a Jehovah's Witness they can help you study the Bible and answer all of your questions. Try going to their website....Watchtower.org
clic on the part where it asks if you want a free Bible Study or to get contacted.

The 4th commandment is Keep the Sabbath Holy. Now of course "how" one chooses to "keep the sabbath holy" & worship God - that can be debated. For me, the 4th commandment means go to church.

Well it does say "do not forsake the meeting of the brothers" or something like that.
No there is no New Testament Commandment.
In the Old Testament there are the Sabbath laws.
