No one hates babies! And pro-choice doesn't necessarily mean they like abortion. It means that the choice belongs to the woman involved-- not the church, and not the state. The best compromise is to take measures to make abortion less desired, like promote contraception better.

I am pro-choice because it will happen anyway, why not legallize and regulate it. If we could actually stop abortion by making it illegal then I would be all for out-lawing it again. Remember though things like the Pill and Adoption were available before it became "Constitutional" right and people were still getting illegal abortions in some states. Others already said Abortion was legal.

Pro-choice to me means the right to decide what to do with your own body in relation to abortion (I guess birth control, too, since the Catholic Church doesn't believe in it).
I am a woman who feels that nobody else, not any man or court or doctor or group, has a right to dictate what I should do regarding pregnancy/reproduction.
Personally, I couldn't have undergone an abortion myself unless the baby was shown to be seriously damaged, or in the case of rape. But I cannot put down other women who feel it's the right choice for them. I do not believe, though, that abortions should be used as a form of birth control. That is lazy, irresponsible behavior.

I do not believe that pro-choicers hate babies. It's more a question of when life begins. Pro-life people believe that life begins at conception. They tend to try to give women who have unexpected pregnacies more choices or options in order to keep the child within alive. Pro-choicers tend to believe that life begins when the child is actually born. Many consider an abortion a normal medical procedure.

I am pro-choice. I don't hate children or enjoy murder, all I see is children being born that aren't wanted.
I read an article in the paper that was written by a man who went to an anti-abortion rally to see if people were willing to adopt or be foster parents for the unwanted children.
About 2% of the people he talked to were "interested" in the possibility. That means 98% were unwilling to take on the responsibility a unwanted child would create, but did want to force it on a teenage mother or others.
This kind of hypocrisy is the worst kind. On the day that all unwanted children are wanted by someone else, by all means, stop abortions. Until that day, it is my choice, not yours.

Why do you think abortion is immoral? The only reason I can think of, is because you think human life begins at conception.
So, if that's the case, how can you support their legalized slaughter?
This is sort of like being a German in the early 1940s who says, "I personally would not shoot or gas Jewish people to death -- but it's okay if other people do it."
Unborn babies are just as human as the Holocaust victims.
There are plenty of issues on which we can compromise -- taxes, labor negotiations, stuff like that.
But if you think unborn babies are human beings -- which is the only reason I can think of for someone to call abortion "immoral" -- then you can't compromise.
Not when human life is involved.

Pro- choice means anit-life. It's that simple.
It's not really constitutional, in fact, it's unconstitutional.
We have the right to LIFE , liberty and the pursuit of happiness
.
Isn't what the illegal aliens do?
The women come across the border pregnant and the newborn becomes a citizen. They are pursuing the rights that we take for granted.
In order to be born, you have to first be in the womb.
Is it about hate? Or is it about selfishness?
Doctors who perform abortions and who should preserve life are cashing in aborting innocent babies!
The Moral law/Natural law is above government law.

Have you read the constitution and the Supreme court ruling that made abortion legal?
I feel if you are someone who holds this up as a good thing maybe you should look into the logic used to hold up the right of a mother to kill her children.

This is a pretty heated and divided topic.
To say "I believe in abortion" or "I don't believe in abortion" is just silly. You can go right ahead and not "believe" in it, but the fact of the matter is, it is there and like you said it is part of our consitution.
Whatever can be said on this topic can be spoken as a personal belief... I can only imagine what type of angry comments your question is sparking right now!
So since there is no "right" or "wrong" answer, here is my OPINION:
I would not personally choose to have an abortion. It is against my moral belief system.
I support our constitution. If a woman wants to choose she should have the right. To all the people who hate abortion... don't have one. Take care of yourself and allow others to take care of themselves.

no u moron, peeps who r pro choice dont hate babies...think of it this way. would u want a baby to grow up in a ghetto surrounded by drugs n such? then get an abortion, see what i mean? if u think something isnt right u have a CHOICE. the peeps who r against pro choice would make u have that baby in the ghetto and then turn it over to the authorities who will bounce that kid around from house to house till it ends up in prison or dead.
