my credit is 450 i know i have to pay back old bills.what are some other things i can do to get my credit back

Patience is one thing you need a lot of to get your credit score back on track. DON'T ever pay anyone who says they can fix your credit score if you give them $250 or some other undisclosed amount. Definite scam.

Try consolidating your debt, too. My husband has student loans that he defaulted on ten years ago, but he's applying to a special program that will consolidate them and will only require a payment of 120 a month.

Cut up your credit cards, and live within your means. Here is a simple rule: If you have to charge it, you can't afford it.
