If we take as a parameter the fair-play for sure,i don't think that we can see a header like zidane`s in a women match.Women playing football is a good thing because it can raise in a different way the culture of the third world countries, can give the girls from the poor side a chance in life.My opinion that is not a matter of time is a matter of man enjoin the last thing that is really only ours yet,and As a second thing the marketing on women has a bigger impact than on men. What i mean is that we won't buy a shirt of a female football player ,but for sure a women will buy a shirt of beckham or ronaldinho...it's just like life works....is so simple

Women & Girls' Football is the fastest growing sport in the world.
There are hundreds of soccer teams in the UK in proper leagues affiliated to their respective County F.A.s.
In America, I watched some trials, try outs as they call them, which were well attended by girls from 8 to 16.
It'll never overtake the men's game because men have been playing for longer but the standards are improving yearly. A bit more tv coverage would do wonders for the sport.

I watched a couple of women's international matches on TV during the summer and I was surprised how good it was. But to compare it with men's football is ridiculous. The day that Chelsea or Manchester United are willing to pay millions of pounds for a woman player is when you can say that they are as good as men.

How is it ever going to be better than mens ?Men play faster harder and with more skill than girls could ever achieve. Ive only ever seen a girls footy match once and it was crap. and this was an england one.It never gets any real exposure on TV either so it will never reach the heights in popularity of the mens game. Plus men will not watch it anyway as nearly all sportswomen are mingers. apart from maria sharapova mmhmm...

Hi I do`nt want you to take this the wrong way, as my daughter play`s Football for the Army, but I do`nt think it`s very likely, do you really believe it will happen? The women I have watched play very well, but it`s not quite the same standard as the men`s Football. SORRY.

Well, the men are good, but if the younger players start basing their style off the men's, but ad it to what is already a good game, then yes, just a matter of time!

Can't women just set their own standards? Why do they have to be compared to men? I think it's a good idea for young girls to be involved in sports. It keeps them out of trouble, keeps them in shape, and it helps with self esteem. If you don't like female soccer then don't watch it. I just can't fathom telling my daughters that they aren't good enough because they aren't men.
