will there be confusion amongst the believers or the clergy? would Christianity and Islam diminish as a result of Aliens living amongst us? or would they try to convert the Aliens too? any thoughts?

Good question. Unfortunately, none will respond, as they wont be able to wrap their minds around the concept - just look at the responses above..... "whatever dude"...
Truth is, IF aliens came and made themselves known, believers would either try to convert them, or it would totally destroy the belief system. How does Noah's ark and Genesis have any room for extraterrestrial life??

Seriously, I guess the religious leaders would attempt to either (a) include the aliens as "God's" children or (b) excluse the aliens as "demons". What if the aliens themselves were on some kind of crusade and forced us all to convert to their alienism type religion? Ha!

Even though I doubt this would happen, I don't think it would have a major affect on Christianity. God sent Jesus to save humans, not aliens, so no we wouldn't try to convert them. And who's to say that God didn't create other living things in this universe besides us?

hundreds of thousands know this
it has not affected my Christian beliefs at all
the Bible itself has many references to this
and the same God rules

Well they'll find some explanation for it, and i can't guaruntee you that it wont be...as out of this world as the aliens but they try i guess.

Likely the aliens will be defined as angels and/or demons, and be treated accordingly, depending on THEIR behavior.

Not much. They will rationalize, find some old scripture to fit the situation and life goes on.
