And where is your son's father? Probably not around right? Exactly my point--you should wait until you're married. When you had your son you were barely old enough to drive or even have a job let alone have a baby. People should wait until they are married and this world would be MUCH better off.

All these negative answers to teen pregnancy is disgusting. Obviously these people must think they live in a perfect world where nobody makes mistakes. If you never were in these peoples shoes then you need not comment. Do you realize that teens are so confused because their hormones are changing. There are various reasons why a teen might get pregnant. I don't believe in abortion and I believe that if they really don't want the baby they either leave it at a hospital or give it up for adoption. All these criticism make teenagers who feel trapped do stupid things like abandoning babies in unsafe areas or abort it. We have to be more understanding and supportive in helping them in order for them to make the right decisions.

Well I am 19... so "technically" still a teen. I am 24 weeks pregnant. I am married (have been married well over a year now), I graduated from high school when I was 17... class of 2004... as did my husband. I have already spent the last two years in college. The pregnancy was a surprise, but my husband makes $1,000 every two weeks from his job as a security guard. There is no way I would give my baby up. I hate how people think anyone is "too young" to have a child... you don't know me or my background. I have never done drugs in my life, never been to a party and I don't regret it. I can party after my daughter moves out (and I will only be around 40... hah!)

IMHO, I think teen pregnancy is a sad, unfortunate trend in today's society. I actually know of teenage girls who purposefully got pregnant (for various reasons). It's so annoying to hear them speak (afterwards) about how they never have "a life".

They'll get no sympathy from me.

I'm pro-choice, I'm totally against abandonment, and I don't necessarily think adoption is always the answer either. But whichever path teen parents make, what to do in regards to dealing with this issue is a very personal issue, and more than one life is at stake based on the choice/decisions that are made.

I think that Teens should wait until they are married. But if it happens then I think that they should keep the baby if at all possible. If I ever have a girl I will try to get her to wait until marriage but if it does happen I will be there for her through the whole thing and I will help her raise the baby. If the teen cannot keep the baby I do not believe in abortion I believe that they should carry the baby and then give it up for adoption.

I am a young single parent my self and i dont like the attitude of you should wait til your married or what ever... just coz ur married doesnt mean its forever... there is such a thing as divorce... i got pregnant when i was 17 im not 19 and have a beautiful 16 month old little boy... i would not change him for anything... if u think u can handle it then keep the baby and raise it.. if u have support from family and friends you dont need the father if he choses not to be around.. good on you girl... good luck with everything

Age will play a big part in parenthood. For very young mothers, there are a lot more emotional and social issues because themselves may be unsettled and immature but i think that doesn't mean that young mothers will not do as good a job.

Teenage mothers need more courage and persistence so they definitely need a lot more support from the society!!

I think that it's a women's choice but if I were a teen and pregnant I would have an abortion because I wouldn't want an unwanted child knocking on my door someday if I were to give it up for adoption.

having sex when you are not growned up? well you are only are teenager, no offense but you are still not very growned up about love. sex are not needed when you are still in your teenage years. i mean, y should that be? does the father of this baby, is responsible for all of the things that he did? but since you had already had a son now, raise him. at least you'll get the experience of being a mom and not repeating the same thing again.

Teen pregnancy should be illegal...actually teens having sex should be illegal that way teens do not get pregnant.

Adoption is the best way if a teen should become pregnant

Teens should not be having babies in the first place
