everytime I feed my 5 month old kitten he begins to purr extremly loud. he is soooooo happy when he eats. he's not fat, he's just very content and happy when he's eating. he purrs until he's finished. does your cat do this? I think it's sooooooo cute!!! he makes me laugh!!!!! =^-^=

he purrs when he lays down by me on the couch and when I pet him. I adopted him from the SPCA about two weeks ago. at first he wouldn't eat for nothing. now he begs for food 24/7.

My cat gets really excited everytime i put his food out. He stretches upto the table then pushes his head against my legs, not normal rubbing but actual pushing...
And yes he does purrrrr whilst eating it...Very strange are moggies.

My cat, Baby, used to do this. She was really skinny when we got her though, she came from the wild and was scratching at our door and everything and mom found her too cute to just leave her so we took her in. She's probably the fattest cat I've seen now. She doesn't purr when she eats her food anymore, but whenever someone comes into the kitchen she follows and pretends to eat. She's just really curious.

Oh sure! all of the time lol, it makes me bounce up with fright and make an apology (cats call) and then I understand it fairly is barely between the cats rubber balls that i'm stepping on. it is so humorous whilst that occurs! lol

My Rosie, before she passed, always purred when someone was around. Me, my mom, my dad(even though he's allergic to cats). It was funny cause you'd pet her while she's eating and she'd purr a lot more.

My kitten does that a lot. The older two dont do it as much anymore. They purr when they are snuggling and that is about it. Callista(kitten) does it when you pick her up, feed her, talk to her and when she is snuggling!

yeah my 'boy' does!thats how i call my cats,my babies!they are 4 months now.my boy is really 'talkative',he has a loud voice,haha!i know when he's hungry,he keeps on banging my legs and keep on 'shouting' and whenever im at pc,he would block my monitor and step on the keyboard.he loves to talk(meow).whenever i talk to him,he always respond in meow.my 'little girl' isnt as talkative as the brother though.she only meow when shes hungry and when she wants to go out for a walk.but my boy is really charming,even meowing to greet me whenever i came home.sometimes he even carry his food bowl near our kitchen where i prepare their food.really cute :)

My cat is 8-9 in our years and even if he has food he purrs.But mabey your cat juust really likes u or sometin' like that.
