The best advice I can give you is to prevent fleas by getting something from the vets. It's much better than the supermarket crap you can buy!! Make sure you get something to treat your house as well.
To get the tick out get a pair of tweezers & get the tick as far down the head as you can. & yank the buggar off, Make sure you get all the head out otherwise it can cause infection. After just dab a cotton wool soaked antiseptic over the area to get rid of germs. If in doubt see a vet.

You could try a flea and tick collar, or even just a tick collar, dog flea and tick collars are stronger, i know it says they are for dogs but it worked for my cats! You could also try flea and tick drops, you just put a little drop on the coat of your cat in different places, more around the neck because that's where they like to go. Hope this helps.

I can tell you what NOT to do-from experience. I got the bright idea once that I would give my cat a flea/tick bath. I put on a set of those big yellow cleaning gloves, I ran some water in the tub, got the cat, and gently set him in. After that, I don't remember much. It happened so fast, claws, shrill cries, and blood-my blood dripping from the shredded plastic yellow gloves. My heart still races when I think about it and my children still laugh. I hope this helps or at least makes you laugh. Have a good day!

Pull them off of her. It won't hurt her. That's the way we get rid of them when they are on us. Then from now on, when you give her baths, use a flea and tick shampoo and then after you dry her off a little bit, put some flea and tick medicine at the base of her neck right in between her shoulder blades. You can find this at any pet store and they sell them according to the weight and/or age of your cat. So make sure you know how much she weighs before you buy the medicine.

A couple of Ticks: You need to remove the ticks yourself witha pair of tweezers.
Lots of ticks or fleas: YOu "dip" the cat using a special flea dip you can get at the vet or at a pet supply place. Read the instructions carefully. Also, if your cat has fleas, most likely your house has fleas, and you need to clean it thoroughly after you use the "flea bombs" you buy at the same pet supply place.

I even have one cat, and final twelve months it have been given fleas, as cats do. I spent a fortune on remedies, and that they only looked as though it might final about a minutes. Then I realised, i became treating the cat, and not the rationalization for the situation. whilst your puppy gets fleas, they bounce off onto carpets on your place, additionally cat or dogs bedding. This needs scientific care to confirm any dormant eggs are killed, and don't re-infest your puppy. i found some products at my interior of reach food market, which you could use on carpets, chairs, and puppy bedding. Use with warning, and carry on with training heavily. this ought to, because it did for me, remedy the situation. Now, if my cat gets fleas, I manage the carpets etc. interior the homestead, and it treatments the situation. touch wood, my cat has been flea loose for 18 months, and that i've got additionally prevented the itchy bites on my legs. wish this facilitates, besides the undeniable fact that it fairly does artwork.

You will have to take the ticks off. If you don't want to touch them get a pair of tweezers and pull them off....make sure you get all of the "head" that will be the part attached to your cat. Then as gross as it sounds you need to drown the ticks in alcohol or burn them with a lighter/fire. I hope it helps.

first go to the vet, then go to walmat and get the cat drops(you put the drops on their back) if you don't know what i'm talking about, then go ask for help when you go to the pet aisle.
thats all i know. because my cat,Sabanna, she had fleas and my mom had to put those drops on her back every four months to repel the fleas.
