They'll have to work it out between themselves. Cats don't typically "get along" they usually just tolerate each other, and that's after a period of establishing who's in charge..
Our cats are 16, sisters that are 8 (they get along because they were littermates and have never been separated) and a 1 year old. Guess which one runs the show? The kitten! She has such a dominant personality, that the others just gave up trying to put her in her place.

They won't get along and you can't make them. If the cats feel like being around each other then they will, otherwise they will hiss when they go by each other and usually that is about it. My friend has a cat that will hiss at the little kittens even though she is the one going past the kittens. They aren't going near her in that sense. That is just how cats are.

seperate them and let them sniff eachother under the door. (bedroom, bathroom, basement, whatever) I have a 16 year old cat and 2 six year old cats. The one was 10 when I brought new kittens into the house. They had their own bedroom until they figured out how to get out of it, and they're all "pals" now. They'll all be curled up on the bed with me when my husband gets home from work.

I had this problem.. my house has very big open areas so i can't let my cats roam free since they can get out of the house and something bad could happen to them since they are siamese and not very common where i live (our dogs have been taken after finding a way out of the house).. so i had to keep my first cat on a leash during the day when i can't watch her.. and let her loose when i can.. when i brought in my kitten my older siamese wasn't friendly to him at all, so i kept them in my room together where i could watch them interact and during the day.. tied them up to the same leash.. after a while of dodging my kitten, my older one finally got used to him and now, bosses him around when they play... you can't force the cats to be friends.. they have to work things out for themselves.

At first they will be pretty nervous of eachother, but given time they'll probably get along and start playing...... which can be amusing when a tiny kitten jumps off a shelf onto the back of the big cat who does a double flip before running off.

Best way ive found is just let them to get on with it (watching them incase) make more fuss of the older one.
I live with 4 Cats (2 brother and sister) a rescue and a siamese ( oh and 2 dogs and 2 gold fish) (maybe keep them apart when you cant be with them if pos)

Put one of them in the bathroom, and the other outside the door. They can get used to each others scent that way.....after a while open the door and let them see each other but, don`t put them close together right away. After a while they will start investigating each other and they will get used to living together.

They are just going to have to get used to each other gradually. There's not much you can do to "force" the issue. Just continue to show love to them both, and don't play favorites.
We have 3 indoor cats, and they were all introduced into the household at different times. They play and they fight, just like siblings, but they get along fine now.

they may not ever like each other, but they WILL learn to live with each other. when we bought a new kitten my cat was not impressed at all, but then they eventually just ignore each other. they all do the same to my new dog now.

Just leave them to it- if you separate them is will make matters worse when they meet up. Once they get used to eachother, they will probably play as they are both so young. Give them some catnip leaves on the floor, and catnip toys; put them both on your lap at once and cuddle them both. They will soon settle.
