My brother and I do a trip every year with this doctor and a few other people to Tibet. We always stop into Isreal to see the doctors family and this year (because of the fighting) they were thinking of not going but we all came together and decided to go and see his family. I love his family very much and I am excited to see that they are really safe but I am kind of freaked about going into a war zone again. It took me so long to get over the last time I saw people die. I am really scared that I will see it agian.

The north of Israel is a bit problematic, but the center and south are pretty safe.
the valleys ("Amakim") are the most southern area where the bombs were hit. Funny, but Tel- Aviv and Jerusalem are the safest places at the moment. The south of Israel is totally safe and feel free to visit Eilat, despite the heat.

It is a war, you must know, but as long as you stay away from the problematic areas you'll be just fine.

Oddly you ignored the Jewish historic connection to the parcel of land worried. the two events have valid declare to the comparable land. It grew to become into Judea in the previous it grew to become into renamed Palestine. you may look it up in Roman history. It turns into ordinary once you circulate away areas out of the equation, eh? once you tell history - tell all of it. do not twist it. the two communities might desire to check to get alongside. Being a hardliner on the two facet will in simple terms proceed the bloodshed. Neither team is getting everywhere because it stands. in simple terms continuously inflicting pointless suffering of civilians - on the two facets. the two facets are interior the incorrect, and the two facets have harmless blood on their palms. Given the Jewish history of the holocaust and pogroms in the previous and after that - it would be obvious they are going to on no account back off and circulate away. Hamas logically can not win. the only subject staying Israels hand is the disapprobation of it quite is maximum helpful allies, the united kingdom and the U. S.. without their effect, this could be even bloodier. the ecu isn't an helpful skill broking service what with its history of antisemitism. Hamas is harming it quite is very own human beings by using it quite is movements. Israels reaction grew to become into and is unquestionably predictable. Hamas knew that to boot and is using its casualties as political fodder. the finished subject is pointless bloodshed. they might desire to take a seat down and talk. attempting to garner sympathy by using not telling the finished tale and bringing the Irish history into it quite is basically slightly clean. the two situations, besides the reality that there is occupied land in contact, are quite not the comparable in any respect.

Where would you be traveling to? The center of the country is safer than any place in the US. There have been casualties in the north, but even there probably less than you'd see in the US in any similar-sized city.

Unfortunately that is what life is like in Israel.

The south might be somewhat more safe than the north of the country.

the whole Israel is not a war zone!!! only the north is!!! i hate to say this, because it sounds really bratty and selfish, but the rest of us who aren't in the north are going on with our lives! sure, we listen to the news constantly, things are a bit more mellow and tense, but we're still living! we obviously have the israelis and the soldiers in our thoughts and prayers 24/7, but we're living! we're doing stuff!! we're not all hiding out in bomb shelters waiting for bombs to fall... we're going on with our lives!! but we're doing it while praying for our brothers in the north and doing everything we can for them- whether it's sending them food and supplies, or opening up our homes to accomodate evacuees!! we're getting hit hard, but it takes more than that to knock us down!
Am Yisrael Chai!!! Israel lives on!!

I agree with yotg. Just avoid the north.

Getting in your car every day is more dangerous than visiting Israel.
