While it is good that you are only washing your hair every 2 days, you should lightly condition it everyday. The best deep conditioner that I have found is Redken's Smooth Down Butter Treat. (about $14 for a large bottle) Don't use V05 Hot Oil treatment... it's a waste of your $2.89.

It doesnt work I think it depends on your hair type though, I have dry hair and I find that washing it every 3 days helps keep the natural oils in my hair, ...but when I was younger I used to swim at the beach alot like every day, and as a treatment that was cheap for mum, I'd use olive oil after a good condition then it stays thru more washes...
try it, it might help

Hot Oil Treatments are great. They will revive your hair, and leave it silky and smooth. I would use V05 Hot Oil Hair Treatment, you can pick it up at your local pharmacy. Just follow the directions on the package, and you're good to go. Have fun tonight! ♥

Truly dry hair is caused by heat and the elements, so the first step is prevention: Try to avoid using overly hot dryers and heat-styling implements, and wear a hat or scarf if you're going to be exposed to sun or wind for a long time (at the beach or skiing, for instance). Don't wash your hair every day, but do shampoo often enough to remove dirt and buildup, about two or three times a week.
iVillage has tons of information for fighting dry hair. Check out http://beauty.ivillage.com/hair/volumeshine/0,,81j0,00.html for great tips that'll have your locks shiny and gorgeous in no time!
Good luck!

I found that my dry hair really responded to a cream deep-conditioner. Instead of leaving it on 5 minutes though, I wrapped my head in a warm towel and left it in for about 20. Then rinse with cool water and let air dry. My ends get really dry especially so I've gotten in the habit of about once a week putting the deep conditioner on my ends dry and sleeping with my hair in a bandana. Then I just rinse and condition all my hair in the shower the next morning.

I Know this is weird, But I have been using suave my whole life, and even though it is the cheap shampoo, nothing work's better on my hair that that.If you use Vo5 shampoo and it works great on your hair, It will most likely work, but if you use a more expensive, name brand shampoo, your hair will not be used to the new chemical's and will most likely dry out more.
