No - TV is such a fantasy world. High school can be very cruel - but it can also be very rewarding. It is whatever you make it. Don't worry too much about fitting it - don't try too hard to fit in - just be yourself and enjoy the ride. Every school is different, and I am from a small town, but there are a lot of things I would go back and change if I could; because I was never truly "myself". I was who everyone wanted me to me and I hung out with the people who I thought were cool - now, NONE of them are my friends. I don't talk to anyone that I hung out with in high school, and it has only been four years. Just BE YOURSELF and don't let anyone change you.

i does no longer call my highschool adventure conventional or something, because my college had four hundred human beings entire. that would not somewhat leave a lot room for acceptance, considering that each and every individual knows everyone else's uncle, you recognize? And notably a lot 3/4 of the folk were appropriate... I recommend, there have been easily communities of persons. there have been the athletic jocks, the "skaters", the burnouts (a number of that were skaters), and then the acedemic crowd. yet they did not merely stay interior of those communities, all of them talked to at least one yet another. in case you've been questioning the position I slot in, i did not... I frolicked in a miscellaneous crew who's one among the most down-to-earth out of maximum of those communities. the nearest element we had to everyday women develop right into a small crew of blondes who concept they were properly-loved... which they were to some extent because they were pleasant adequate, yet they were also very catty and distinctive human beings disliked them. So, all in all, my intense college adventure is thoroughly diverse from what's portrayed in the media, yet those colleges are all very tremendous and that i somewhat imagine that makes a huge distinction. I do have a chum that went to a diverse intense college that develop right into a lot higher and she says her adventure *develop into* like recommend women. yet -and that i do not recommend this in a rude way- she's no longer the most socially adept individual round. So her description is probable rather skewered... yet nonetheless, i wager it is totally confusing to grant an independent account of what 4 years of your existence develop into like.

It really depends on your school. My school is pretty stereotypical, but some schools aren't. Don't worry about it. Be your own person, find where you fit. Say no to drugs smoking and alcohol (sometimes hard but you can do it) and if a group of friends tries to pressure you into something you feel uncomfortable with, find better friends.

No, not really.
You will find that there are different "groups" that tend to hang out together. But the shows and movies are blown way out of proportion. When I entered high school (18 years ago), I found that "most" of the upperclassmen were pretty nice and wanted to help you out.

there are going to be groups all the time but you are going to have your friends there with you. stay away from the upperclassmen until you know what they are like. you might actually find they are pretty cool.
