afterlife is positive. all spiriual guides to afterlife, without which present life would be miserable, like the present terrorist's act. they don't care for themselves or others. I don't expect to retain my consciousness after I die, so I won't be consciously aware of an afterlife. The energy that is my soul or spirit will be returned to the greater Universal Energy, to disperse into that greater pool and be reused for the souls/spirits of future people/animals/etc.

My expectations are that an afterlife is imaginary. Most people conjure these wacky afterlife stories so they don't have to think critically about their own lives and don't have to face the fact that, "when you die, your dead."

i am an atheist an thus do not believe in the afterlife. but after life i do believe you will rot in the ground get dispersed into many animals that eat you and be dispersed eventually into millions of different lifeforms.

I suspect we just cease to have a consciousness and are turned back into dirt.

People find religion because they are afraid to consider that this may be the truth.
