It's called a difibulator. (heart paddles is the slang). When it happened to me, I was floating above the Dr.s, nurses, and family and I could see everything that happened. But I felt God telling me to go back, and suddenly I was back in my body. Later, when I described what was going on, everyone was shocked that I knew such details. It was cool, it made me appreciate life so much more.

When your heart has stopped and your brain is suffocating you usually will be still concious. When this happens your brain is being starved of oxygen and other things it needs. So your brain starts to hallucinate and you begin to dream and trip out. drugs like LSD, Mescaline, and mushrooms have this effect on your mind. That is why people think that they were going to heaven or saw god or this great light. In fact i think that is the source of all the crazy revelations of all the prophets of earth had. Religion is the result of stress on the brain.

I had a near death. I saw that I was drowning. Took awhile for someone to get to me. No god or light in a tunnel. Still do not believe.
