No not completely. In everyday life you can see a young man hold open a door for a woman. Most men will also pick up the bill at restaurants. Women today have a better chance in being successful in work due to the fact that sexism is steadily decreasing. Chivalry was popular when women where put in the same category as children-- weak and helpless. Nowadays women can be self sufficient in life and have the same equal opportunities to be successful like men. All of these factors have contributed to the fact of the declining amount of visual chivalry.

It's not dead, but not practiced by many of the younger generation for they see it as being weak. Then you have some of the more independent ladies, that would rather do things for themselves than give a guy the satisfaction of doing anything for them. Ladies pay close attention, if there is guy that does not hold a door open for you or pull out your chair, is he really worth your time? Check out those guys that take the time to do the little things and know that he is going to always respect you and never put you in harms way because he either has a daughter a sister, or parents that taught him right from wrong. Show those guys love so that the know that it's ok to pass that wisdom down to others ......

Chiv-al-ry:
1. The medieval system, principles, and customs of knighthood.
2. The qualities idealized by knighthood, such as bravery, courtesy, honor, and gallantry toward women.
A. A manifestation of any of these qualities.
B. A group of knights or gallant gentlemen.

Definitely DOA. I blame it on too many movies and too many woman-bashing songs on the radio. However, women are also completely obsessed with the Cinderella fairy tale, and miss the forest for the trees when they do meet a decent guy.

that depends on ppv (personal point of view) I think it depends on the woman if shes a true lady she will accept but not expect chivalry from any man. I was brought up to be chivalrous or i would be picking myself up off the floor my grandpa made sure of it.
