Well, sucking it in alot can help tighten the muscles, and make it get used to it, but I really recommend excersizing a bit more, like jogging every 2-3 days(And it can be fun, go run with a friend, take a scenic route, buy something on the way), there are several ways to make your tummy flat.

One time when I was 14, I almost weighed 170 Pds! Thanks to my dad, who gave me the confidence to start excersizing daily and changing the way I eat(Not just vegetables and fruit, just controlled eating). Another way to avoid going heavy on food, is avoiding "pigging-out" so much. A person in one day going to a All-You-Can-Eat Restaraunt, can eat as much as a pound of food!

To conclude of what I've said, just keep a daily planner of your excersizing methods, times, etc. and avoid "pigging-out".

yes it does, I have been doing it for years. It is hard to do after eatting though. Sometimes I will get a stomach ache. But yes I do believe by keeping it tight you are working the abdominal muscles. After a while you don't even know you are doing it.

Depending on how far you have to go, it will most likely take a lot more than that. There are an awful lot of muscle groups there. You'd have to learn to isolate them separately and tighten/release alot to make any difference. It's easier just to do a variety of crunches.

It helps a bit because you're constantly tightening the muscles.

In is good in the fact that you have strong abdominals, which, besides looking good, supports your back and organs.
